There are a few good LK stories that take canon as canon (Dorothy Elggren's
"All the Rest is Silence" comes to mind); but, on the whole, I agree. I'm
perfectly happy to write on into the fourth season and beyond.
It was an *inartistic* end to the series. Not just tragic, not just
undesirable, not just hateful (any of which might be justified if well
done), but badly conceived and badly written.
