Okay, let's see (I've done this a couple of times now, but since there are
always newbies to the list and we don't have the sort of archive that you
can just go and look things up):

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?
Doris Weiss from Germany (northern Bavaria to
be exact).
I am a high school teacher in real life (English,
History and Social Studies)

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
Lacroix because he's so deliciously evil but
not totally heartless (as seen in seasons 2 and 3).
I've always had a soft spot for the villains *sigh*-
but only those of fiction.
Nick when he's not too angsty, aka Dark Nick.
He can be a little too do-gooderish at times and
becomes too uncritical for my taste.
Schanke - ahh, Donnie Bear.
I like the others as well. Those who I really
don't care for are Tracy and Vachon.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?
I've known FK since its first run in Germany in 1994 but
I only became a fan in 2001 when I caught
season 3 on German pay TV and began to watch it regularly
instead of sporadically as before (unbelievable but true and
it was Last Knight that did it to me).
It's the only show that has ever inspired me to write or
to be creative in the first place and it
may well remain the only one, although I'm thinking about
a crossover story. I have no desire to take the writing further
than fan fiction, firstly for lack of time, and secondly because
I don't write fiction in German.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

Yes, I have. Some off my best friends (Heike, Petra)
I met on the German FK list. We meet regularly and have even
been to Canada and Wales together.

From this list, I first met Marg Yamanaka in 2003 when she
gave me a brilliant FK tour of Toronto and took me up to
Wolfville, NS, to meet Ger. Then there's Marla Kaye who
took care of me in incomparable fashion when I spend a week
at her place in NY City during Ger's stint in King Lear in 2004.
I met a lot of others in Washington DC and Stratford last year, too,
and I hope, none of them feels neglected if I don't mention
their names. It simply would take too long.

Favorite Episodes for each season?
S1: Dark Knight (1+2), Feeding the Beast (and a lot of others
mostly because of the flashbacks in those eps - hey, I'm
a history buff, what did you expect?)
S2: Killer Instinct (my all time fav), The Fix, Father's Day,
Partners of the Month, etc (I like S2 best and it shows)
S3: Games Vampires Play,Night in Question

I'm a Cousin (duh), Dark Knightie and, yes, an UFfer (and proud of it),
so all eps with those tendencies appeal to me.

Other hobbies?
Besides work you mean? Books, theater, music, TV, my FK website
(shameless plug #1: www.come-undone.net)
And relating to FK, our roleplaying game that is now going into its
third year (strongly I might add)
(shameless plug #2: http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/fkroleplaycommunity/)
Well, food and wine as well, and it shows.
Travelling if the budget allows it. And I used to be part of a
Roman re-enactment troupe (I am no longer active but I still enjoy watching)
which did gladiator shows.

Family status?
Single, no kids. Hopefully not forever.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
Besides Ger and Nigel?
Several German actors who you probably don't know,
a couple of German politicians (Johannes Rau whom most will
not know but who was German president till a few years ago)
and Placido Domingo (I love opera).

An since this exercise is to (re-) introduce oneself to the other list
members, I will post it there and not send it privately.

My real name is Amanda Berendt, I live in NJ (USA). Right now I am a
secretary in the A/P office of a hospital corporation. Not really
what I want to do with my life, but it works for now. Just started
the job after 5 years as a secretary in the Radiology dept of a
hospital. (This is MUCH less stress!)

> Who is your favorite FK character and why?
Really it depends on my mood. I like everyone for different reasons.
Although I am not super fond of Tracy & Vachon, I know they have
their place. I guess that is why I like the show so much, every
character is so multifaceted.

>
> How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?
A true fan - since 1995. But I found out about it when the second
season was on late night. My brother was at college and told me
about this cool show he was watching. Since it was on very late, I
kept missing it, then finally I caught an episode (found out later it
was Be My Valentine). I really liked it but didn't get to watch it
because of the time it was on.
Then during the summer of 95, I saw ads for the show and recognized
it. To my dismay the college I was starting in the fall did not have
USA, so my parents dutifully recorded the show EVERY WEEK so I could
watch it. I wasn't so upset at the ending at first (except for the
fact that I had just fallen in love with the show and now it was
over). Then I saw the first two seasons on Sci-fi and was amazed.

>
> Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
I met a bunch of people at a party on Long Island several years ago -
the only person I remember was Susan Garrett. In TO, 2 years ago I
met Will, Greer, Lynn, and (I'm sorry I don't remember the other
lady's name) There were also several people I have talked to at
Stratford and in NYC.
>
> Favorite Episodes for each season?
Season 1 - Ummm, Dance by the Light of the Moon / Cherry Blossoms
(love the end) / Only the Lonely.
Season 2 - Can't choose - it's my favorite season (all the setup is
done and the horror hasn't happened yet)
Season 3 - Night in Question / Ashes to Ashes / Last Knight (it has
it's moments)

>>
> Other hobbies?
I have just recently learned to knit. Pretty cool. I read, play
with the kids (1 dog, 2 cats) watch tv. Go walking. Travel
(whenever finances allow)

>

Single, no kids. Live with mom & dad --- places are too damn
expensive around here.

Ooookay.. since I live near NYC I tend to see shows (discounted
usually) pretty often.
Ger

Eric McCormack (Will from Will & Grace)
Nathan Lane
Matthew Broderick
Liam Neeson
Denzel Washington
Colm Feore
Hugh Jackman
Laura Linney
Paul Gross

Guess that's all for now.

KC Thanks for all you do. Please don't give up.
It's just been one of those years. And we need
not mention what mother nature has been upto.

Most of the lists are quieter then usual.
But recently things have been picking up.

Now, as to fanfic. While I'm not a writer, I'm an avid
reader. So I would encourage anyone who has any unfinished

I love Nick, but then I have always been attracted to angst ridden Vampires

watched late night TV.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
Ger, Nigel, Ray Charles (as a child).

Most of you know me as Shenandora (DeWynst). I live in
Germany and work as a medical secretary.
>Who is your favorite FK character and why?
Uncle, of course ;-) Because he is evil (at least most of the
time) and SEXY! Well, I'm a true cousin.
But I also like Nick (his dark side) and Schanke.
>How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?
I discovered Forever Knight in 1994 when it was first aired
here. It was called "Nick Knight - der Vampircop".
In 1997 I got access to internet and was soon on many lists
(main list, Cousin, CotK etc.).
In 1998 I visited Toronto the first time and did the TO tour,
Which was a wonderful experience. During that time Nigel did
The book-signing-tour in Toronto (Keeper of the King). The
same year I ran the German FK FC with someone else
(unfortunately the club closed two years later).
During that time we did an FK charity for children with cancer
and had great success and great help from most of the actors
and fans.
Also in 1998 the German FK List on yahoo was born, which is
still active.
In 1999 I attended the LCA2 in Toronto, a charity founded by
Nigel Bennett, Jon Casar and John Kapelos (...as most of you
know already). That was the first time I met Nigel.
Since January 2004 three of us are running a Site dedicated
to Uncle (Uncle-Unlimited.org).
In October 2004 I met Nigel and Ger in Stratford.
>Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
Yes, I have and some of us became great friends.
>Favorite Episodes for each season?
S1-> I will repay, Dying for fame, Only the lonely, Feeding the
beast
S2-> A fate worse than death, Stranger than fiction, Father's
day, Baby baby, Partners of the month, The fix, Curiouser &
curiouser, Queen of harps, Close call, Be my valentine, A
more permanent hell
S3-> My boyfriend is a vampire, Night in question, Fever,
Sons of belial, Heart of darkness, Ashes to ashes
>Other hobbies?
Other fandoms, reading, writing (including the FK-RPG),
singing, dancing, traveling, history, mystic/celtic stuff, theatre
and something I shouldn't mention on this list... ;-)
>Family status?
Single, with lots of nieces and nephews.
>Have you ever met anyone famous?
A few German moderators, actors and singers, Bryan Adams,
Barry Van Dyke, Kathrine Long, some of the FK crew, most of the
LaFemmeNikita cast&crew, Barkley Hope and his wife and a few
more...and of course Nigel, Ger and Jon ;-)

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?
Libby Smith Singleton. I'm an administrative assistant for a government
agency that regulates utilities (in my case, specifically natural gas, natural
gas pipeline safety, and some water companies). The IRS insists I also say I'm
a writer and actor so much report those income earnings <g>

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
Screed, because he's Screed.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?
I vaguely remember seeing part of an episode when it was on CBS and rather
liking it, but I can't even remember which episode. I knew about the show in
season 2 because friends in the sci fi club watched it. When season 3 rolled
around, I was recovering from one of my infamous serious car wrecks (and I'm
never at fault *sigh*) and some of the sci fi club members were over visiting.
One asked if we could watch FK as it was the first episode of the 3rd season
and he was curious about the cast changes. I liked it well enough to tune in
the next week...

But by the next week the Valium I was taken for my car wreck back injury was
building up in my system, unknown at the time to my doctor or me. So I was
on quite a "vallium high" when I first saw Screed and the rats. I thought him
eating rats was about the coolest thing I'd ever seen on television. The
doctor has since written all over my medical records, "DO NOT GIVE VALLIUM!"

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
Dozens, literally. I couldn't begin to name you all. The founder of Nunkies
Anonymous was even a roommate for a short while (as a result of me hearing on
an FK list that she needed a temporary place to live in my area). She now
rooms with another Forkni-l alumni about a mile from me although we never seem
to run into each other (I don't think either one is still on the list).

Favorite Episodes for each season?
I tried to pick out a favorite from first season, and except for a few I
don't like, they are all "equally good." In season 2 I think I'd be A More
Permanent Hell. Season 3 is definitely Fever.

Other hobbies?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel and Star Wars (I run FK lists for both of
those), comic books, sci fi in general, counted cross stitch and other
needlework, history (especially women's history of the US Westward Journey),
writing,
theater (acting and seeing), movies, bargain shopping at flea markets and
thrift stores, I have a small flea market booth, collection rats/mice figures,
I take voice lessons, I play several musical instruments (clarinet and guitar,
mainly), etc. I "own" or moderate a number of FK and cross stitch related
lists.

Family status?
BLESSFULLY divorced, 3 cats and a dog. If the RIGHT person comes along, I
could see myself "blessfully occupied for life."

Have you ever met anyone famous?
Greg Kramer (well, DUH), Lisa Ryder, Ger, Nigel, Natsuko Ohama (oh, boy, can
she scream while holding a half eaten prop rat), John Kapelos, Julie Newmar,
David Prowse, Anthony Daniels (I didn't get to talk to him but we had quite
the "who can do the most amusing face" session while I was standing in a line
nearby), Max "Rom" Grodenchik from DS9 (we literally collided and discovered
we're the exact same size), Billy Mummy, George Takei, Jimmy Doohan, Wilbur
D. Mills (a politician who I think bought me a snow cone as a kid<g>),
President Bill Clinton (quite a few times when he was in Arkansas politics - a
friend of my late great uncle), P.N. Elrod, psychic Carol Pate (I know one of
her daughters quite well)... I'll stop there. Let's say a number of Star Trek
and other sci fi actors (I'm sometimes a writer guest at sci fi cons), a large
number of sci fi/fantasy/horror writers and artists, a number of comic book
artists and writers, several politicians...

It has been said I have this habit of being in the right place at the right
time to meet people<g>

I first saw FK during season two reruns. I had pneumonia, I was lying in

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?
Terri Wadsworth, from central Texas. I'm a primary special education teacher.

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
I love Nick. He was the first character I saw when I first saw the series and
I was fascinated by a blonde vampire!

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?
I was channel surfing through Crimetime after Primetime on CBS at the beginning
of the first rerun of the first season. I happened on the scene where Nick
faints in the church in "For I Have Sinned" and thought he was pretty good
looking. I decided to try and tape the reruns but it was almost a lost cause
because the very next week, CBS began showing Wimbledon highlights and I never
knew when they would finish so I stayed up later and later to turn on the VCR!
Anyway, I was hooked.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
Oh yes! I've met many of the listmembers through Ger's fan club and several
have become lifelong friends. There are many others that I haven't met yet and
hope to in the future!

Favorite Episodes for each season?
S1: I Will Repay, Father Figure (it was nice to see Nick interact w/kids!),
Feeding the Beast
S2: Stranger Than Fiction, Be My Valentine, Queen of Harps
S3: The Fix, Night in Question, Fever

Other hobbies?
Let's see, there are quite a few...riding my horse, Nemo; reading; handwork;
watching TV/movies; SCA; doing stuff on the computer; the FK Birthday list;
working with kids

Family status?

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
I've been trying to figure that one out for the last
ten years and as of 5 minutes ago, my fave character
is either Schanke or Lacroix. Schanke was just the
perfect partner to broody Nick and as for Lacroix -
how can you not love his quick, sharp remarks and that
Black Armani suit look but in saying all that I'm no
FoD or Cousin: Dark NNP all the way!!!

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?
About 10 years... I had seen the original movie with
Rick Springfield in it and a few years later, I was
watching late night TV and this Forever Knight was on
and it seemed familiar - got hooked as soon as my
tired mind realised what I was viewing.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
Not yet... I only found out about these lists about 18
months ago and haven't gotten around to it yet

 Favorite Episodes for each season?
S1- (in production order)Dying To Know You, I Will
Repay, Father Figure, Only the Lonely,
S2- (in production order) Stranger Than Fiction,
Faithful Followers, Undue Process, Partners Of the

S3- (in production order) Let No Man Tear Asunder,
Night in Question, Trophy Girl, Sons of Belial, Ashes

 Other hobbies?
I try my hand at fan-fic, would love to get back into

 Family status?
Been seeing someone for the last 4 years but

Have you ever met anyone famous?
The only ones you may have heard of are Mary Robinson
and Michael Portillo. The rest are famous mainly in
Ireland

hope you all have been enjoying your festive

---Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

Nancy Kaminski, of [Xxxxxxxxxxx], Minnesota. I am a technical writer/editor,
both fulltime and freelance. I also design and typeset books, which explains
the ridiculously huge collection of high-quality type faces I own and
cherish.

---Who is your favorite FK character and why?

Nick is my favorite, because I have always loved a tragic, flawed hero. I
also am very fond of Lacroix, just because. Naturally I'm a UFfer. :-)

---How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?

I became aware of FK in 1994, when a coworker told me about this really neat
show. "It's about a vampire cop in Toronto," she said. I replied, "Yeah,
right. That sounds totally stupid. It's all yours." Then one night I was
clicking through channels and there was this amazingly handsome man driving
an amazingly huge, teal Cadillac. I watched. The rest is history.

---Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

Yes, I have, lots of people. I've attended two Gertherings, gone to LCA
every year except this one (sob), gone to FKinSD, been to Stratford and
Lincoln Center to see plays, and participated in several other FK-engendered
gatherings. I love Toronto and meet up with some FK people (waves at Mary)
up there every time I go.

---Favorite Episodes?

Ones with extensive flashbacks---Ashes to Ashes, Queen of Harps (I love Nick
telling Nat--"It's from...before."), Sons of Belial. Frankly, I love almost
all of them, except that ghastly wrestling one. Damn you, USA.

---Other hobbies?

Horses, mainly. I own a Lipizzan gelding and practice the arcane art of
classical dressage. Outside of all things equine, I garden, do landscaping
(love building little brick retaining walls), study history, adore traveling
(especially to places with really, really OLD stuff to see and/or palm
trees), take road trips in my Mini Cooper, and pamper my dachshund. Oh, I
write fanfic now and then, too.

---Family status?

Single, with horse and dog. Or, as my exceedingly normal and prosaic dentist
brother says, "loser." <g>

---Have you ever met anyone famous?

Having attended all those LCAs and logged a lot of bar hours, I feel like
I've met all of the 42 actors in Canada. Ger and Nigel, of course. In New
York I saw James Earl Jones at Lincoln Center, and Richard Belzer (Det.
Munch on L&O: SVU) hailing a cab on Broadway. I think that's about it. Oh,
wait, I shook Hubert Humphrey's hand a long time ago when he was campaigning
for election, and saw Mikhail Gorbachev in his car when his motorcade went
past. I think the actors are more fun. <g>

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

I'm Megan MacLean, better know to my close friends as
'elf-girl' (I'm majorly obsessed with Lord of the
Rings) or 'Dragon'. I'm scottish/irish and as my dad
tell sme, directly related to William Wallace. I'm a
bookseller/cashier at the Barnes and Noble near my
house, and I'm hoping to go back to college soon,
having finally, finally settled on Equine Sciences as
my major. I live in [Xxxxxxxxxx], Arizona, USA.

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
My favorite FK character? I do like Nick, but Tracy
kicks arse. I also like Vachon, just because he's
cute, hehe. Natalie is cool too, because I've always
been a bit morbid and forensics has always facinated
me.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?
I've been an FK fan since senior year in high school,
so about four years.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
No, I haven't met anyone off the lists, though it'd be
a lot of fun to!

Favorite Episodes for each season?
S1: Dark Knight (1+2), Feeding the Beast

S2: Killer Instinct, The Fix, Partners of the Month,
The Fire inside, Close Call

S3: Fever, Night in Question, Black Buhddah, others I
can't remember right now.

Other hobbies?
Horseback riding - I'm getting my own horse soon.
Drawing, reading, Lord of the Rings (undefeated LOTR
triva champ, here) sword collecting,
swordfighting/swordplay, Renissance Faires, archery,
midieval weapons and warfare, celtic stuff, computers,
dragons. Watching Highlander, Star Trek, SG1, South
Park.

Family status
Turned 21, living with parents. Single and hating
every bloody moment of it. I have a parrot, 7
parakeets and two dogs.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
I rang up Ben Stein at work once, and met Jennifer
Aniston and Vince Vaughn when they came into my work.

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?
My name is Phylis Sullivan. I live in [Xxxxx Xxxxxx], Nebraska. Currently I
am unemployed. (which sucks)

Who is your favorite FK character and why?
I have to go with Nick as my favorite. The character of Nick appealed to me
on many levels, one of them being the outsider looking in.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?
I saw the first movie with Rick Springfield and thought that was pretty good.
Then I caught this commercial for Crimetime after Primetime and thought...this
looks familiar. Watched and was hooked.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
I haven't met anyone from the list as of yet. Would love to some day!

Favorite Episodes for each season?
Only the Lonely, Be My Valentine and Night in Question. Obviously I am a
NNPacker. lol I have others that are favs too, but won't list them.

Other hobbies?
I love to read. I enjoy puttering in my yard with flowers and such. I like
to write and hope some day to write my own story.

Family status?
I am married ( 18 years in May) We have twins (boy and girl), they are 11 and
a male Shelty who turned 1 today.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
I attended two scifi cons, one in Omaha and one in Denver. I met Marina Sirtis
(Star Trek Next Generation) in Omaha and Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek Voyager) in
Denver. Both are very gracious ladies. Got autographs as well. LOL

>---Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

Nancy Taylor; [Xxxxx], Oregon. I'm a homemaker with a husband and two
(almost) grown children. (Rachel turned 18 this summer. She just
returned from a year abroad, studying in Japan. Zachary turned 21 in
November. Yikes!)

>---Who is your favorite FK character and why?

Nick. I couldn't resist the handsome, tragic, flawed character. I
love the angst and his attempts to become human again. This, of
course, leads to Nat, another favorite. (I'm a N&NPacker as well as
Knightie.) Then there's Schanke. How can you not love the comedic element?

>---How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?

I saw original episodes of the first season during Crimetime After
Primetime, but the show kept being moved around and pre-empted, so I
didn't really get hooked until I rediscovered it in the summer of
1994. I got on the Internet in the fall of 1995, and FK was the first
fandom where I joined mailing lists and participated. It's been quite a ride!

>---Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

Yes. I've been to one Gerthering and met many folks there, at least
two of whom became close, personal friends of many years' standing
now. Unfortunately, I can't afford to travel, and living on the west
coast, I live too far from most of the "action," so I don't get out much.

>---Favorite Episodes?

S1: Father Figure, Only the Lonely, Feeding the Beast
S2: Near Death, Partners of the Month, The Fix, Queen of Harps, Be My Valentine
S3: Night in Question, Sons of Belial, Fever, Games Vampires Play

>---Other hobbies?

I enjoy needlework (counted cross stitch and knitting), reading, and
writing. While I haven't written FK fanfic for a while, I'm still
busy writing in another fandom. I hope to get back to at least two of
my former FK series, eventually.

>---Family status?

Married, two kids, two cats, four goldfish, and a terrarium full of
walking sticks (insects).

>---Have you ever met anyone famous?

Ger, of course! And Garett Maggart from "The Sentinel" TV series.
I've been in the presence of (at cons) William Shatner, Leonard
Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Walter Koenig,
and Gene Roddenberry. I think there may have been a few others I've
actually met, but I'm having a senior moment. <G>

Johnsie, Leader o' the RatPack, live just outside Raliegh NC. I work in
customer support for a small online game company.

> Who is your favorite FK character and why?

Screed, because he was a malinky droog. :P He was a nice weird vampire
that wasn't cool or handsome so I could relate. :)

I liked all the characters, at least a little.

>
> How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?

My wife and I watched the movie because she was a Rick Springfield fan. It
was a fun movie. When the show start on Crimetime after Primetime we watched it
and made note of the differences. We liked the cast and the changes they made.
It was a cool change for a vampire show and great improvement on ordinary cop
shows.
  >

  No.
  >

I never remember episode names; most of them were good. If it had Janette or
Screed in it the episode is likely one I liked. :D
