---Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

Gaelin. [Xxxxxxx], Ilinois. Business Writer/Editor.

---Who is your favorite FK character and why?

LaCroix. I have a weakness for commanding fellows with an irreverent streak.

---How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?

Since the 1989 "Nick Knight" movie with Rick Springfield. I saw the original
broadcast on CBS that August, I think it was. I believe CBS had some ratings
push going where it would broadcast first run productions in the summer instead
of the usual rerun fare. I even have the movie on VHS somewhere. (I bought
the DVD a year or two ago.) I also saw the original broadcast of the series in
1992 when it was part of CBS's "Crimetime after Prime Time." I remember being
appalled that they changed the cast. I couldn't imagine anyone being LaCroix
except Michael Nader. Little did I know!

---Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

Not knowingly.

---Favorite Episodes?

Overwhelmingly, the eps from season 2, and not surprisingly those that feature
LaCroix heavily. In no particular order: Stranger than Fiction, Close Call,
Father's Day, A More Permanent Hell, Baby, Baby, Killer Instinct, The Fix, Be
My Valentine and Blood Money.

---Other hobbies?

Well, there's the fanfic when the muse and time are on my side. Also, web
design and cool computer software in general. I've somehow ended up with cats
with medical problems, so I'm always learning more and more about feline health
and holistic medicine. I'm also converting an extensive VHS collection to DVD.
But sleep is my all time favorite pastime.

---Family status?

Single, with 2 feline sons. My mother keeps asking about grandchildren. I
keep reminding her that she already has 2. (I'm an only child.) :-)

---Have you ever met anyone famous?

Local celebrities, mainly in the business community. I also went to college
with some people who have since become well-known in their fields. One or two
are actors.

Okay, I'll bite:
Cheryl Pillsbury and I live in Pepperell MA which farm country; I'm a writer
and a stay at home mom with my daughter Alicia, I saw FK in 1992 and loved
about mid-season.

I began writing in the early 80's mainly Star Trek and Angus was born then,
I started FK about 1996-1997.

LaCroix because of his wisdom and warmth and that voice; each episode is
unique, can't choose just one, sorry.
Hobbies, well, writing, editing my daughter and friends love scifi, reading.
I've been married 11 years and my daughter is 12 and disabled.
I met most of the St crew, the orginial ones a few from the next
generation, Howie Carr, Jerry Lewis. that's it, thanks.

Who is your favorite FK character and why?

Vachon [what can I say, I've always had a thing for the "bad boys", although
I adore Nat (I relate to her), LaCroix (how could I not?), and Janette
(she's just so...) as well]

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
> started?

Saw a few eps when it was first in syndication (2nd season), but had a hard
time finding it 'cause the scheduling kept getting futzed with. Caught it
again on SciFi later, and was completely hooked.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

Not yet. But it looks like I live not too far from one without having known
it. (Oi! Johnsie!)

Favorite Episodes?

To tired to check/remember/figure out what eps were in what season right
now, but here are a few of my faves: Curiouser & Curiouser, Fever, Ashes to
Ashes, A More Permanent Hell, My Boyfriend's a Vampire, The Fix

Other hobbies?

Reading, movies, & TV (all particularly in the sci-fi/fantasy/horror
genres), cross-stitch, quilting, stained glass, fanfic, RPGs (no, not rocket
propelled grenades)

Family status?
Single, no kids... unless you count the feline variety, then I have 3
indoor cats (Vachon, Janette, and Shalimar), 3 outdoor cats for whom I claim
responsibility (Estella, Laura, and Frenchie), and 3 more who are convinced
they live at my house (I call them Bunny, Mithrandir, and Bogie - regardless
of the fact that Mithrandir & Bogie are both female)

> Have you ever met anyone famous?

Nope. Too much of a homebody (that's probably the kindest way to put it)

Might as well... :)

Hi, my name is Jaye. Actually, it's Jean, but everyone online calls me
Jaye, somevariant thereof (see Jayekitty below), or Phoenix, so there. :)

I have the distinction of being the list's founder back on December 9th,
1992. Yes, over 13 years ago, back when I was a sophomore at Penn State
University, whose postmaster Bill Verity has been ever so kind to let this
list retain its place on Penn State's mainframe long after my departure
from PSU's hallowed halls.

I actually haven't managed to meet any of the FK actors, but I have been
blessed with meeting a great number of people from this list, including
random pouncings on people wearing list shirts at Dragon*Con a few years
back. I consider this list to be a model of polite internet discourse,
the way cool folks on the 'net should behave, and I've always been very
proud of how my successors as listowners: Laurie Salopek, Jamie Randel,
Don Fasig and McLisa, have followed through with my vision for the list.

I plan on attending both MarsCon (in Minneapolis in March) and Dragon*Con
(in Atlanta in September). One of these years, I should make a new list
shirt so people can find me if they want to chatter about the show.

Thank you all for 13 years of civilized discussion on the net. :)

Really? I had no idea anyone even remembered who I was. I haven't
written any FK fiction since early in 2000. I want to finish the
"First Knight" series, which I left hanging (sorry, folks!), and the
plotted-out sequel to "Leitmotif." Now I just have to get the FK muse
kicked back into gear. I think she went on a looong vacation. <g> I
also need to get my fiction page back up and running. <sigh> So much
to do, so little time!

Nat

PS -- I *am* working on an FK project, however -- a complete update
to my Episode Archives, from the DVDs. It's coming slowly, but it's
coming. Has anyone heard *anything* about the Season 3 set? We *must*
be getting them, or they wouldn't have advertised the set as a
trilogy, would they?

Since the start. I worked evenings back then and would watch Crime
Time after Primetime when I got home from work.

Lots of wonderful people

Be My Valentine and Ashes to Ashes, not sure about the other

Wow...animal rescue, crocheting, photography, reading, flea market scavenging

I got divorced 18 years ago, I have a 21 year old son who is a long
time FK fan too, he used to sneak up to watch it. We have 5 dogs and
5 cats. I just got engaged last week to a man who had proposed to me
almost 30 years ago. I had said yes and then I got cold feet and I
ran out and disappeared on him. I ran into him at a restaurant in August.

>Have you ever met anyone famous?

Lots. One of my favorites was Gloria Swanson, what a class act!

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

***Deborah Hymon. I grew up in Alabama, married a Yankee (Cincinnati guy)
and moved to Ohio. We've lived here for 26 years. I had a medical and dental
career, which is where I met my husband. He's a Cardiologist. When we
married, I quit work to start a family, and I was getting bored with my
medical profession. Once our two daughters were born, I decided on a career
change, and went back to school. Several years later I started what turned
out to be a very successful interior design firm--did that for 12 years.
I've been writing (only for self-enjoyment) since high school. Several years
ago I started writing FK fan fiction, which recently opened doors to a
professional writing career. I'm now working on several original manuscripts
that are in the historical and paranormal romance genres. The fan fiction
helped me to tone my craft. YIKES! I cringe when I read some of my earlier
stories, but it's good to see the improvement. <G>

Who is your favorite FK character and why?

***Nick--I loved his character from the beginning; loved everything about
him. Nat is also a favorite for many reasons. I can relate to her in many
ways, including her career choice. I would love to have a career in forensic
pathology if I were younger. I loved how Nat could kick Nick's butt when he
needed it without hesitation. She respected the vampire, but IMHO never
truly feared Nick.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?

***1992--I saw the previews for the TV show, and put sticky notes all over
the house to remind me to watch the first episode. I've loved vampires since
watching Dark Shadows, and was always intrigued with their darkness. When I
saw this cute, blonde vampire (my first blonde vampire), and that he was a
Toronto (my favorite city) homicide cop, I couldn't wait to watch the show.

The first time I saw Nick and Nat together, I loved their interaction. I
watched the show for many reasons--flashbacks (love history), how he dealt
with the blood lust on crime scenes, with his immortality, and his
interaction with the mortal and immortal communities. I didn't get on the
lists until much later because earlier I didn't have time; all my free time
back then was for the family and my design clients.

Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?

***YES! Patty C., Deb N., and several others in D.C. When I saw Ger in
Cyrano. This was the first time I saw him on stage--AWESOME!
I also met, Kristen F, Phyllis R, Valerie, and Sierra this past Labor Day. I
was thrilled to have these wonderful gals as my guests!

Favorite Episodes for each season?

***Only the Lonely, Be My Valentine, My Boyfriend is a Vampire (I agree with
Kristen F, Ger did seem to have fun with this one!). I'm a hopeless,
die-hard NNPacker, and nothing will ever change that!

Hobbies and Favorite Place?

***Traveling and discovering new adventures with my wonderful hubby. I
thoroughly enjoy writing, which was a hobby, but recently is my new career.
I love listening to music (usually instrumental), snow skiing, antiquing,
entertaining (large groups of friends; the more the better), and my
rekindled passion--archery. Hey, I was darn good 30 years ago, and slowly,
with practice, it seems to be improving!

Favorite place: Siesta Key, Florida Beach--the closest thing to the
Caribbean. If you've never been to the gulf side of Florida, it has white
sand and turquoise water. The gulf side doesn't have the large crashing
waves, but the beaches are prettier and not as crowded as the Atlantic. Hey,
it inspired "Natalie's 40th Birthday", the beginning of my "Second Chance"
series.

Family status?

***Very Happily Married to Bruce, my Soul Mate of 27 years. He's my best
friend, and the true love of my life. We have two daughters--Tara Angelique
is 26 and Tasha Elizabeth is 22. And yes, Tara's name is from "Gone With
the Wind" and Angelique is from the witch on Dark Shadows. <LOL> I decided
on that name when I was 10 years old. Good thing hubby liked it.

Have you ever met anyone famous?

***Yes, quite a few through the years, but not really interested in anyone
famous. Sorry, but that's just not my thing. I'm not a TV/Movie person. We
don't watch TV very much. All our free time is usually spent listening to
music and reading. Hey, there really hasn't been a good TV show since
Forever Knight!

*******I hope to meet more of you guys in person sometime in the future! I
still want to attend a minicon someday. Phyllis R. and I plan on seeing Ger
again in D.C. In 2007--maybe see you there!

I'm game, I'll answer the questions Kristen posted!

~Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?
Vikki Farra. Currently residing in FL. I'm a full time student at the Joe
Blasco Center East. I've graduated from the professional artistry course and am
no going through the Advanced Prosthetics course where I will be learning more
about the manufacturing of prosthetics for movies and TV.

~Who is your favorite FK character and why?
OK this is why I'm a MERC. I can't choose a favorite charater.

~How long have you been an FK fan? How did you get started?
I taped the original pilot Nick Knight when it first aired. Later on I was
channel surfing and stopped on a show that looked strangely familiar. It was FK
and I was hooked all over again.

~Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
I have a friend who I actually met through the historical reenactment group.
It was only after we got started seriously talking (She noticed an Eastern
Airlines overnight bag I had and we started talking as her dad worked for them
too) we started talking about other things and we found out we were both part
of the lists though we were both more lurkers. I don't know if she is still on
the lists or not.

  ~Favorite Episodes for each season?
  Again, too many to list.

  ~Other hobbies?
Well, let's see, I like to do needlepoint, crocheting (don't have enough
time to do either), watching movies, reading, artwork, jewery making, I adore
making monsters (which would be why I'm going to school to learn how to make
them properly). I have even paid my rent making fake fangs! Photographing old
cemeteries. I'm an old school Goth/Punk I love going to good Goth clubs and
hanging out. Historical reenactment. there is more but this is long enough! :-)

  ~Family status?
Married. Have two fur kids (cats) and that's enough!

~Have you ever met anyone famous?
When I was ounger I used to babysit Robert Vaugn's (man from U.N.C.L.E.)
kids. I got to kick Ace Freley out of a restaurant I worked at. I did have the
pleasure of meeting Stan Kirch (Richie from Highlander), Elizabeth Gracen (Amanda
from Highlander), Peter Hudson (Horton from Highlander), Jim Byrnes (Dawson
from Highlander) Natsuko Ohama, John Kapelos, and the General Himself Nigel
Bennett (he scared the crap out of me too, my roommate and I were in the bar
at a con and we used to have conversations peppered with Highlander and FK
quotes. In the middle of a conversation from not 3 inches away from my ear came
the voice of Lacroix! I mean he went in to full Lacroix mode and scared me silly!
We invited him and John over to our table and they hung out with us for quite
awhile. They were very cool.) I'm also met Julie Strain and the artist Olivia.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Peter Jurassic (Londo on Babylon 5),
Richard Biggs (Dr. Franklin on B5), Claudia
Christianson (Ivanova), Bill Mumy (Lennier), Mira Furlan (Delenn), J. Michael
Straczynski, Ray Park (Darth Maul, Toad from X-Men), David Prowse (The

I guess I've gone to and worked WAAAAYYY too many cons! I know I'm missing a
few too. I don't think I will list all the comic book artists I've met...

Sheesh, Sorry I didn't think this was going to be so long.

I discovered it during season 3 back in 1996, but didn't grow to appreciate

>Who is your favorite FK character and why?
Vachon. Because he's dreamy.

>How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get started?
I'd heard of "the vampire cop show" when it was on CBS, but the boyfriend at
the time thought it must be stupid so we never watched it -- HE is long gone!

So, since 1995, since season 3 was on-air. I caught an ep of season 3 when
I was home for lunch one day. Didn't know what the heck I'd run across, but
the scene I'd caught was of Vachon. I was hooked and watched the next new
episode later that same week. This was just weeks before the "Save Season
3" campaign began and I remember volunteering to get brochures tri-folded
and mailed to Las Vegas for the NATPE convention.

>Have you ever met anyone off the FK lists?
Yup. Some locals. Some other folks I met in TO when Ger did those three
wild, improv-ish nights of "Taming Of The Shrew" - never laughed so hard in
my life! A few others I met at plays with Ben or Greg.

Oh, and I'm the one who introduced Libby to Greg Kramer.

>Favorite Episodes for each season?
First and Second seasons are a blur for me ... can't recall titles at all.
Third Season, hmm... maybe "Let No Man Tear Asunder" because it's the first
ep I saw or "Fever" because it was so well done.

>Other hobbies?
At the moment, I'm knitting scarves, lots and lots of scarves (gee, even

Who are you, where do you live, what do you do?

I'm Sonja Gerlach, I live in a small village near Bonn the former capital of
Germany.
I'm branch manager of an organic food shop.

Who is your favorite FK character and why?

Hmmm, not very easy, because so many characters are just great!
I love Lacroix for his Roman attitudes and his dark and evil side. He's the
best vampire master I've ever seen.
I love Janette for being a perfect female vampire: sexy and dangerous at the
same time.
I love Schanke for...being Schanke!
I love Nick for his charme and his struggle to become a "better" vampire",
but I also love his dark side.
I also like Nat, Stonetree, Cohen, Divia, Tracy and Vachon.

How long have you been a FK fan? How did you get
started?

Must be ten years now, I started watching the series on German television
and booom, that's it!
My love for FK became stronger again after I ordered the series on DVD in

Have you ever met anyone famous?

Bonnie, didn't you actually have a dream you'd do it?

I forgot to mention in my post that I'm also known as Libs, and as far as I
remember, Greg's the first one to call me that although a lot of my friends in
the Central Arkansas theater world call me that also.

Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the FK logo large enough
to use to make an iron-on to go on the back of a hoody? (For my
daughter.)

Subject: FK Question

Thanks to Kristen, we're booming. I have one; How and where has FK
changed your life, and why?
I have always been into the Underworld since I was seven years and still
there. FK added to that world of warmth, passion, rules and laws of how
we should respect each other no matter what there believes. It has
intensified my passion to write and I am now published and work along
with Sony; indirectly. Nick and LaCroix are always there as a guide and
love to others.

This is fun; I forgot my love for the Theatre and I support them as much
as I can. Also my passion for Children's Hospital in Boston; they gave
me hope for my daughter's condition. And my love for this list of
friends. Stay safe.

Hi all. I've been gone for awhile but I'm back now (you may know me as
cousin raven formerly of raven@naturesong.com but don't msg that address, I
had to get rid of it because of spam.

I'm Jennifer (aka Deaana), I'm married and living in [Xxxxxxx], KS. I'm
working retail. My favorite character is LaCroix. He's just sexy =). I
also love the enforcers. My favorite episodes are Unreality TV, Near Death,
Be my Valentine, The Fix and Night in Question. I've been a FK fan since the
original airings. I've never met anyone off of FK list, nor anyone famous.

My hobbies are woodburning, computer graphics, and video games.

I'd like to give a shout out to Billie-Lee, while I'm here. *hugs*

Be safe all!
