Subject: The missing part one of new FK story
Clearly something went wrong with my sending Part One of "Out of the Night
that Covers Me" to the fic list. Several people have now contacted me about
it; and this seems the fastest way to tell them, as well as anyone else
who's been wondering where it went.
As it's obvious this isn't a single case, I'll repost it after midnight
Eastern. (That's because of the three-post limit.)
What happened? My best guess, thinking of the timing, is that Part One hit
what I think of as the 5 p.m. glitch. I've found that posts sent to the
main list just as it's sending out the digest (5 p.m.) tend to vanish
altogether. I guess the computer collates a fic list digest at 5 p.m., too
(though I don't know if anyone's actually set to digest on FKFIC-L).
For those on the west coast, you should get it shortly after 9 p.m. Others
should at least find it in your inbox after you wake up.
(I guess this makes me a member of the Oops Faction?)

Have people received Part One of my story, "Out of the Night that Covers
Me"? I resent it to the fic list last night, but it hasn't arrived in my
inbox yet. So I was wondering if it's just me, or it's disappeared into the
ether again.
