What was the FKFIC-L website? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 27 Apr 2015 16:56:45 -0400 From: Greer Watson <gwatson2@r.......> Subject: What was the FKFIC-L website? In having a look through the Dusty Vaults of Knightwind's Nook, I came across a post that was made by Darkangel on on 27 April 1996. In it, she says that she is closing down the FKFIC-L *website*. Now, I know about the FTP site (but that's clearly not what she means). I also know about Mel's site: it was started in 1996, on her personal site; and she registered the domain name www.fkfanfic.com that October. I have not, however, heard about any site run by Darkangel except JADFE (and this is not that, either). What I do know about Darkangel's FKFIC-L website, from a comment by Stormsinger, is that was apparently, "the organization that went into the web site was phenomenal". If it helps, this is what Darkangel wrote: > This is probably the worst message I've ever had to post to a > group. Or three groups, as is the case... > The FKFIC-L web site is shutting down. Sorry.) JADFE will remain active, but mostly because James >Walkswithwind is sweet enough to keep up with the subscription > requests. Keep the faith, eh?}} Any info people can post about this would be helpful. Also about this CD-ROM. (Was it, for example, used by Mel in creating *her* site?) Thanks!
