I seem to remember "emergency" human blood in the bottom drawer of Nick's fridge, for when cow simple wouldn't cut the cravings. However, I don't recall if this was in place for first season episodes. My own two whiskers worth -- -- /\ /\ | "I have studied many philosophers and ^o o^ D.K. "Cat" Kraft | many cats. I thought the flashback here to Lacroix torturing the gagged man is probably the worst flashback in the whole series. And to cap it all, Lacroix *stabs* the guy to death! The only one who is firmly written into his character is Nick; Janette is apparently thoroughly under LC's control, as she tries to cater to him. (Seems sort of like she's making a strong play for LC's affections, after the recent reunion with Nick--a little sibling rivalry?) She's not the strong woman we see in the rest of the series. And although NB does a great job with the lines he's given, it is again quite out of character with the LC we learn to know in the rest of the series. My husband pointed out that, in his opinion, the actress playing the radio psychiatrist has a quite pronounced Ontario accent. Do boys' voices typically change *after* 15? To the point where they are unrecognizable? I don't think so, but that's what Dr Noble seems to be suggesting in her scene at the apartment of Matthew, her former patient.
