Subject: Any more Yahoo Groups?
First off, I'd like to thank Margie for her kind words. I' just glad I
was in a position to be able to send her the downloaded CotK files.
At this point, Yahoo is in the middle of their purge. However, it is
still possible to learn something about the lists that still exist on
their server; and I'm wondering what else might be out there. There
are three things that particularly worry me.
1. ADULT GROUPS
Some factions used an ADULT header on posted explicit stories, the way
FKFIC-L does. However, at least some factions had a general list *plus*
a list just for discussion/fanfic of an adult nature, requiring members
to give an age statement. I know of NNAdult, and T-VAdults. Any
others?
2. WAR LISTS
Obviously these are restricted. However, knowing *about* them will help
me fill out the articles on both the factions and the wars. I know some
groups had permanent war lists (e.g. Knighties_war, and fkcousinswar).
Others(such as the Vaqueros) made a new list for each war in which they
participated, and deleted it when the war was over.
What other groups had war lists? The NA, the Ravenettes, the Perks?
The actual name of the list(s) would be helpful, if you can remember.
3. FRACTIONS, etc.
Some minor factions, couple factions, and fraction factions still have
lists. They may not be active; but they're still there. Some may have
had them in the past. Others probably never had a list made for them,
or disappeared before Yahoo took over things.
I'm particularly curious about the Light Cousins, Urchins, INCArnates,
GSS, Seducers, Faithfuls, Diviants, Nick's Harem, and Unholy Alliance.
Because I've found a lot of others (including one for the *leaders* of
Nick's Harem). I know the Light Cousins, in particular, had some sort
of mailing list at one time; but I don't know if it was a Yahoo group or
not.
Any help would be welcome.
