Greetings!
Sorry if this has been discussed before as I'm new to the list. I was just
wondering if anyone knows the reason why the Season 3 DVD goes out of print
every few years? I noticed last week it's going again at scalper's prices
($200) & nowhere to be found at normal outlets.
Also, does anyone have problems with their S3 discs? It's always frustrated
me that my set of discs play capriciously, every other disc won't play at
all until it feels like it, causes a lot of noise in my laptop drive, never
have that problem with S1 & S2. Anyone else have the problem? (If it
matters, mine are not a recent purchase, I got them before the set went OOP
the first time, probably in 2007)
Finally does anyone have any info when the German version of S3 (Der
VampirCop, Staffel 3) will be out?

Actually,
While so many of the others are cute, my 2 cents {for what it's Worth :) }
...remember what Don's Beloved bought this treasured Duck Lamp for in the
first place: as a reminder to "don't forget to DUCK" ...so my vote would be
for the IMHO most appropriate "Duckers"

I've wondered this myself. From what I've heard, the demand for
Season 3 wasn't as high as for the first DVDs. (Or, maybe it was
the demand for 1 and 2 weren't high enough to encourage a large
production of 3.) Don't really know.
I got S1 and S2 at Walmart on sale. S3 was never offered on
sale so I paid the full retail price.

I've never had a problem playing S3. I always play
it on my bedroom DVD player. I have played a couple
of episodes on my laptop and haven't had any problem.
(I work at home on my laptop and I can't pay proper
attention with FK playing. :-> )

I know it's a bit early for Halloween, but has anyone ever made patterns to
carve out pumpkins with the resemblance of any of the FK characters? I was
just browsing some online tutorials on how to turn photos into carving
patterns but I'm sorry to say I'm not proficient at all with photo
manipulations and that sort of thing. Has anyone ever done this? If so, I'd
love to see the photographic results if they're still available. I'm not
sure what the etiquette is on sharing links within this list or if they'd be
considered spam since they are OT but if anyone were interested in trying
this, I googled "how to make pumpkin carving patterns from a photo" and
there are quite a bit of returns top of the page.
Hoping this topic is not too off-the-wall..?

Thanks Walt. I guess there must have been a demand at some point last year
when they went back on the market. My guess would be due to Vachon's Ben
Bass current success with his cop show. (Btw, I did get my S3 for half
retail price several years ago).

I guess I got a bad set then! Bummer. I did have a tech savvy friend copy
them to blank discs just in case (and for my own usage only) but they lost a
tad in resolution. Those are the ones I watch. They will have to do for now.
