I'm sure at the time that Tracy's cell phone was state-of-the-art...but today it looks like something you'd buy a kid at Big Lots (the Toys 'R Us one would be 1/3 the size). 2) Reese tap-danced nicely around Tracy's dad. A few times, the character has been presented as a little too politically aware. Here...he gave Tracy what appears to be his honest opinion that taking the job will be in her best interest's career wise...but leaves it with the simply statement that he only wants her to stay if it is really what she wants and not to spite her dad. 3) Rasputin as a vampire does explain a great deal about the historical figure.... 4) "I am never very far from my acolytes...or history." LaCroix Yep..if there was a script point to be exploited...LaCroix was somewhere in the middle of everything. Probably knows where Jimmy Hoffa is buried. 5) my, my, my. Nigel definitely has covered some ground in his career as a TV criminal. LaCroix appears to all but control Tsarist Russia...and later as Prince on LEXX...he controlled America from his post as head of ATF. I wonder how many other actors can claim such broad "conquests" in their fictional lives as criminals. 6) "Welcome to Corporate Crime Division, Detective Vetter." Could the props people have done any more to accentuate the dull, bureaucratic nature of Tracy's new job? 7) Amusing to see Tracy throw her dad back at her new Captain when she gets frustrated enough. I do think the new Captain had it coming, she had a chip-on-her-shoulder about Tracy from the get go. If she'd been more reasonable in dealing with a new officer to her squad...Tracy probably wouldn't have said what she did. She was provoked.
