Why is the caddy a convertible? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 18 Jun 2009 00:33:27 EDT From: KnghtWtch@a....... Subject: Re: Why is the caddy a convertible? Hello All, Nick most likely purchased the conv, for two reasons as far as I can see. 1. He's quite tall and if you have the top up, he would bang his head on the framing. 2. He says in the show he likes to drive at night with the top down. I hardly ever have the top up. When I take the car out to car shows, I leave the top down. It's just beautiful to drive and be able to look up at the stars, clouds and sky. When I take a fan out in the Caddy, I always stop at one point in the ride to show how great it is to look at the sky. Day or night. I had a conv in 1965 when I lived in NY. I drove the car with the top down most of the time. Even once when it snowed. But in the winter, you put chains or snow tires on. The heater has a harder time to get the car interior warm with a conv. The car weighs 5234 lbs. All convs weigh more than sedan because the manufacture has to bolster the framing of the car in order to reduce the 'crumple effect' should the car get into an accident. Once you drive a rag top, it'll be hard to ever go back to a sedan. Remember: anyone coming to the Disney World area for vacation, give me a call and I'll see you get to ride in The CADDY. The top didn't seal very well, but it was worth brushing the snow off the seats just to remember what it felt like to drive it in the summer. Most people have minds like concrete: mixed up or permanently set. ----- Original Message ---- From: "LDukie913@a......." <LDukie913@a.......> To: FORKNI-L@l.......
