I like this ep if for nothing more than Nick's robe in that scene lol.
I wonder, LC's voice in the judgement scene was dubbed right? Does it
say by who? It's been a while since I've seen the ep but IIRC it
sounded deeper than normal.

Subject: OT: Lynne Ackerman

I'm very saddened to report that our dear friend Lynne Ackerman passed
away at 5AM eastern time the morning of Thursday, April 24, one month
before she would have turned 65. She had been admitted to the hospital
on April 12 because she was having trouble breathing, and was diagnosed
with a collapsed lung. This condition was successfully treated, and then
Lynne returned to her sister Sheila Ziedenberg's home Wednesday where
she passed away in the night.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 28 at 11AM at the following

location:

Benjamin's Funeral Home
0000 Xxxxxxx Xxx. Xxxx
Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0 Canada
Phone: 000-000-0000

Fax: 000-000-0000

Email: info@b......
Website: http://www.benjamins.ca

After the service there will be a procession to the Pardes Shalom
  Cemetery.

Lynne's family observes Jewish traditions.

The family asks that flowers NOT be sent. Donations can be made in
Lynne's name at a charity to be determined (I'll let you know).

To sign the online memorial book for Lynne, go to
http://tinyurl.com/4mzxgk but please INSTEAD consider sending a short
note to her sister Susan Kurin at mailto:kurinsusan@r....... for
possible inclusion into the eulogy that will be read. Things to send
would be an old email Lynne may have sent you that is amusing or fun or
sweet, or a note about your own feelings.

Please send this note to Susan so that it reaches her by Sunday, April
27 at 4PM eastern time at the latest.

You could also email Susan with your ideas on music that could be played
at the service. For example, if you know of a particular song by Gordon
Lightfoot that Lynne liked. Lynne knew Gordon long before Gordon became
famous, and remained a personal friend of his throughout his career.

Cards of condolences can be sent to:

I'm newly signed on to Twitter. Today I clicked the
"Everyone" button for the first time. I got excited
for a second when I saw a Twitterer called
"LaCroixcom". What a letdown when I went on to read
and realized it's the Twitter account for a French
religious site.

BTW: I'm 1_mad_squirrel at Twitter, just as I am at
LiveJournal.

Subject: Notable character quotes

So I'm working on character color bars for my livejournal and to
offer up to others who want them and I thought I'd spruce them up
with a quote that helps define each character.

Before I put them up though I thought I'd solicit a few opinions on
what would be some ideal quotes for the core characters.

These are the ones I've got:

Nick: "There are only two ways to escape eternity; one way is to join
the dead, the other to join the living."
LaCroix: "Mortals die. Does is really matter how or when."
Janette: "How badly do you want me?"
Natalie: "Solving a puzzle is its own reward for me."
Schanke: ???
Tracy: "I am my own person, with my own talents and who my father is..."
Vachon: "I was young. There was a world out there."

Color bars for the uninitiated are simply a horizontal collection of
about 5 images of similar dimensions, usually icon shaped, that
together create a banner. They're very simple which means even the
artistically challenged (ie. yours truly) can make them. Although I
went a little overboard and used 8 images because I couldn't decide
which images to use. There's too much pretty!

I'm happy with the Nick, Natalie, and Tracy quotes. I think they
capture the characters nicely.

I'm moderately happy with the LaCroix and Vachon quotes. Originally I
wanted a Nightcrawler quote for LaCroix.

I'm rather ho-hum with the Janette quote. It's a great line with a
wonderful delivery but it sort of reduces her to the sole role of
seductress and that was only one of her multiple layers. Janette has
more depth.

I'm completely shocked that I'm blanking on an appropriate Schankism. Help!

Thoughts, suggestions, objections on the other quotes?

Roxy
