It was also years before she met Nigel. ;) I'm reading the PN Elrod Jack Fleming novels for the first time and was really struck by the name of the mob nightclub...Nightcrawler. I know it has a pet name in the FK community. What is that name??? 2) no one questioned the window that Nick broke jumping into the warehouse room? There was only a single gunshot, what does anyone think broke that 2nd story window?? 3) I like the "batwing" jacket Nick is wearing 4) Ellen Dubin as Mistress Tamara Dugen!!!! Hot monkeys it is Miss Gigerota herself!!! If you like the lady's performance, you really owe it to yourself to get copies of LEXX. She isn't a major recurring character the way Nigel's Prince was... but she was a riot when she was around. 5) I liked Schanke's line of "You were a superhero to get here as quick as you did. How did you get here as quick as you did?" Even if he didn't push it....Schanke did have an odor that something odd was going on. If the character had stayed into Season 3...I think they would have had to have him figure out Nick's secret (which I do not think would have been a bad thing). 6) Great Nick Line "(for) one terrible moment I thought I was having another birthday" 7) Schanke (after Nick tells him that Nick was lying about seeing the actual shooting) "No, just wasn't the issue. It was either that or I've got the 6 million dollar man as a partner." I like that the writers gave Schanke's character this depth and a reason for why he doesn't push Nick on how he got to the crime-scene so fast. Since he doesn't know about vampires, Schanke's logical assumption is that Nick had to be lying in order to catch the bad guy. Schanke is OK with this because he feels the villian is simply getting justice for past crimes he got away with. 8) Great Nick line to Schanke: ""You OD on a six foot slovaki or something?" 9) Natalie to Nick in the parking garage: "Do you smell pina coladas?" Guess Nick really was wearing the suntan lotion Myra was selling. 10) Why is Stonetree's office so darn dark? He doesn't seem to have the lights on at all. Probably the director trying to create "mood". On a certain level it works symbolically since Nick and the precinct are "going to the dark side" as he lies ...and his brother officers infer that this is OK with them.....but on the whole I think I prefer it when Stonetree's office looks like a busy man who needs to handle a lot of paperwork and phonecalls is working there. 11) Nick doing his "superman flying number". I do not think it works as well as the implied flight sequences. Implying flight was one of those "lets be cheaper" moves that I think actually really works much better then trying to show a vampire flying through the air. 12) Why was Nate only in a t-shirt at Nick's loft? That is getting pretty cozy. Any other show she's been that relaxed at the loft??? I also just like the popcorn/fangflash gag. Very funny.
