I'm in Alberta, enjoying balmy +14oC (57oF) weather, nice and sunny. :-) Oh,
and everyone here is sick with some kind of nasty cold. :-(
Which means I got to order out for dinner ;-)

It's the same here in Oklahoma. The leaves on the trees
have started to come out, tricked by the warmth of January,
only to find themselves exposed to the cruel winds and
coldness of February.

Nick would have to warm his blood in the microwave

Does anyone know if that's really Ben Bass in the Samsung commercial which
CBC has been showing a lot in the past few days, in which a man takes
delivery of his neighbour's expensive new TV, or just someone who can do the
puzzled/innocent look just the same as Vachon?

That makes two of us in the same location with the exactly the same type of
weather. I, however, am battling this awful cough that seems to have followed a
short bought of what seemed to have been a cold or flu. (I wasn't running a
fever, so it must have been a small cold that made me lose my voice.) And the
blasted cough won't leave me alone!!! <wishing the Enforcers dealt with a lot

I'm sitting here with a sore nose wishing it'd get
un-stuffy and stop running at the same time. Darn cold
started Thursday with a sore throat and now I just
wish it'd get over with.

It snowed here but not as much as it did out east. I
hope all are okay who are out there.

Yes, Kristin, you're absolutely right! The _Outer Limits_
music does sound exactly like FK. I'm glad to have confirmation
that Fred Mollin wrote it.

My husband and I saw _Hoodwinked_ a couple of weeks ago. It's
another of those animated features that include veiled references
to other movies in order to keep the adults interested. At one
point, I heard something that reminded me of FK (a snippet of
oft repeated dialogue?) and leaned over to my husband and whispered
"FK". Unfortunately, he didn't know what I was talking about
and neither one of us could remember what was going on at the
moment I either caught the reference or (more likely) read in
something that wasn't there. So unless someone on the list can
help me out here, I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out
on DVD to refresh my memory.

Does anybody remember a story where Nick gives Nat a

Judging from messages on Forkni-L it sounds very cold
in N. America. Stay warm and indoors. For those who
have to go out into the snow, stay safe. I'm sending
warm thoughts full of sunshine, tropical plants and
summery wine from Malaysia. Hope that helps.

weekend (up over 50 on Saturday with sun and clear

usually between 40-45 and rainy here from October to
April. :)

Hey, could you send some of that snow out west? We've been having weather in
the upper 50's to lower 60's during the day, and upper 20's to lower 30's at
night here in Xxxxxxx. That's bad, because unless we get more snow (especially in
the mountains) before spring officially hits, summer is going to be dry and
miserable.
I'm praying for all of you in the blizzard areas. Hope you are all safe and
sound.

It's only 47 here in Xxxxxxx, FL, and it's 11:37 a.m. At least the wind
isn't blowing like it was over the weekend. It was 27 degrees when I woke
