Subject: LaCroix's children

The other day while I was watching Can't run Can't hide it suddenly struck
me that LaCroix's description of the rage he sensed in the Viet Cong's
heart was very similar to what he told Nick he'd sensed in Hitler .

So my question to you is do you think LaCroix deliberately seeks his
children among the angry and disillusioned? And if so what does
this say about LaCroix.

Janette would fall under this category as did Nick . One might assume
Francesca fell in it as well . Admittedly we know nothing about her
coming across but we do know her anger at Nick's killing her was strong
enough transcend her own death.

Here's the link. If there's any trouble, drop me a
line and I'll look into it. If that second line
doesn't post either copy it into the address bar, or
type it out manually.

If I'm not mistaking, Nick did bite her and tried to bring her across but, he
failed and took too much and LaCroix took great pleasure in reminding him of
that. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're confusing LC's daughter with Nick's wife, Alyssa. It was Alyssa
that Nick tried to bring across on their wedding night and took too much.

I don't remember a Alyssa. I thought Nick's wife was Francesca. Lacroix didn't
have any natural children before he was brought across. Diva brought him
across. Sorry for the confusion and the help

No, Francesca was someone LaCroix brought across, thus Nick's VAMPIRIC
"sister."

Diva *was* LaCroix's NATURAL (ie: human) child.

Alyssa was a human/mortal Nick met after he was a vampire and was going to
bring across on his wedding night. He took too much and killed her instead.

Hope that helps!

In both senses of the word: "natural child" is an old
euphemism for child born out of wedlock.

This is posted with McLisa's permission.

I have moved the ftp site. The structure is the same. I just move the
directories to the new isp. It is now sitting at
http://www.fkvoyage.com/fkfanfic/

Just to keep the permissions straight, just continue to give permission
to the FTP site to archive your story if you still want it archived there.

Thanks,

Subject: Re: LaCroix's children

Going back to the original question... I don't know. It's a very intriguing
observation. My first reaction is that angry, dissillusioned people are easier
to manipulate, because they have lost whatever they used to believe in and are
looking for something new. There's a saying, "you can never truely change until
you are thoroughly sick of the old way." Maybe by bringing across those that
are thoroughly sick of their old lives, it's more likely they'll turn their
backs on everything having to do with mortality and never look back.

A second reason may be that the ability to be that angry and dissillusioned is
evidence of a passionate spirit. And we do know how LaCroix loves a passionate
spirit. <eg>
