HI . . . I was watching FK this morning
First of all, the idea of having blood in wine bottles was a
great move on the writers part
But Nick drinks it through his mouth
which means it goes into his stomch
Blood dosen't do much good in the stomch
you can't burn it for energy

Some say that they're not only drinking the blood
but the soul or karma, and that's where they get the enegry

(Or maybe its magic)

Why not? Food goes into our stomach and then is processed for energy ;-) In
fact, it even makes it way into the blood system. I just always figured that a
vampire's digestive tract is adapted upon being brought across to digest the
blood in a way that lets their body use it for energy. In "A More Permanent
Hell," LaCroix makes reference that younger vampires would starve without life
to sustain them (ie: food), but older vampires would linger. I think he meant he
was much too old and powerful to starve<g>

And when Screed was attacking Tracy and anything that moved in "Fever," Vachon
said the carouche was 'starving.' So I think it is more than the soul, I think
blood really is their "unlife" source and food, at least in the FK universe.

It's been a while since I've seen it, so I'm not really sure, but when they
found Nick at the hospital in "Night in Question," didn't Natalie give him a
transfusion directly into his stomach?

If it doesn't do any good in the stomach, what about the blood that a
vampire drinks when a he/she bites someone in the neck. It's going to go
to their stomach. Blood can be digested just like anything
else.

Hi all!

Ger will be performing "Do Not Go Gentle" which at Stratford soon
(August 22, 23 & 28). This play was written and originally performed
by Leon Pownall who appeared in two episodes of Forever Knight as
"the painter" (Bosch) in Dead Issue (1st season) and as David Ogden
in Dead of Night (3rd season). He also portrayed Bill Haskell, Nick's
dad, in Black Harbour's Another Country" (2nd season).

We've set up another guestbook for anyone who would like to send a
message to Ger and/or Leon at this time. We will print out the
messages for Ger and Leon so the deadline will be 8 am EST on August
22. You can access the guestbook from our web site (www.gwdfc.org -
click on the link on the left) or directly at
http://pub40.bravenet.com/guestbook/show.php?usernum=3430695448 .

Also, WILD DOGS, a movie in which Ger plays a "dot-com-porn guy" is
going to be opening at the Toronto International Film Festival

) in September. We'll post the dates when the schedule is announced
(later this month).
