Outside of some of the hilltop villages that are on the sites of
Etruscan villages, not really. We did see a remnant of an Etruscan
tomb, a decorative knob that was apparently the top of a tomb,
inextricably located in a small street in Pisa, just sitting there. No
explanation.

There was plenty of Renaissance stuff, of course, and signs of the
Medicis everywhere. We saw their symbol everywhere (a shield with six
balls topped with a crown). I love visiting places with so much
history everywhere you look.

Okay, next time you go, can I stow away in your luggage? Please?

BTW, have you ever seen the BBC series Civilisation, with the late
Lord Clark? Segemnt 4, MAN, The Measure Of All Things would, I think,
interest you. Did you get to see the Uffizi, or the Borgello, by chance?
