Subject: Question: pharmaceuticals

Based on all three seasons of FK, do we know what the effect of drugs are on
vampires? Like, what if they took a sleeping pill - would there be no
effect, or would they sleep longer or shorter than most people would? Or
what if they took a lot of caffeine - would they feel more awake/perky? Just
for a few minutes? longer? or not at all?

Is there any direct evidence in the show? Or anything we can extrapolate from?

Asking for a friend,
Bonnie

The only thing I could surmise is that they don't ingest solids since most of
Natalie's concoctions were liquid and when you see Nick eating, he spits it
out.I'm not sure pills would be digested at all. There are several times that
you see him being given injectable meds(like the litovuterine) that affect him.
I doubt that he'd get much reaction to a normal medication in normal doses but
that's just guessing. With a heart beat every 10 min or so, there is not enough
blood flow for meds to really be metabolized unless you mixed it in the blood.
Like mixing blood with alcohol... why not mix blood with coffee?

Sorry for the gibberish. I'd forgotten the steps I had to do to post
from AOL. If this doesn't work, I'll just reply privately..

Karen.
