Subject: close encounter of the fannish kind
My office's newish mail room clerk just dropped off my mail and asked about
sci fi conventions. This led into a conversation of who I've met. To my
absolute surprise and delight, he KNOWS Forever Knight and he's only in his
20s! He said he had them on DVD but they're in storage (if I understood him
right, they may have been stolen but I'm unclear). Anyway, it was great fun to
talk to someone about Greg "Screed" Kramer, the Ratsie Wot Kilt Screed (who
will be coming to work with me next week), etc.
I'll confess that I still think, "OOOO! I've got a student film role" and want
to email Greg about it. :-( I probably would have started acting even if I
hadn't met him, but I don't think I'd have been as successful without his long
distance coaching.
