But I do know that there have been people who've seen the scripts. It's always interesting to see what's different between what the script says and how it was acted and filmed, isn't it? The scripts were widely available once----I myself own quite a few. I purchased them at LCA and from fellow listmembers a long time ago. There has been, in the past, on this list, long discussions of which Crusade Nick participated in. I just read this bit in the author's notes in Chelsea Quinn Yarbro's latest book: "In 1228, a Sixth Crusade was undertaken, led by the excommunicated Holy Roman Emperor, Frederick II,...." It tended to be more of a diplomatic mission, than what we think of as a Crusade. However, given the social mores of 13th century western Europe, *diplomatic mission*, depended on your POV, and still required armed knights. Given the religious politics of the time, I'm not sure whether Brabant would have been in Frederick II's camp or Pope Gregory IX, but of course, I thought the date was interesting. Cindy Most people have minds like concrete: mixed up or permanently set. ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 13 Jul 2014 to 14 Jul 2014 (#2014-94) **************************************************************
