It was in many ways a blessing and a lot of me knows that, but part of me just knows that my Dad is gone. I understand. My Dad passed in November from Alzheimer's. Yesterday evening, my sister and I wound up, unplanned, in the middle of a local jazz festival. Many of the local restaurants had outdoor eating areas. I remember years ago when Dad and my stepmother would go, late Saturday nights, to an indoor/outdoor establishment in Greenwich Village, order a pitcher of sangria, and people-watch. In cooler weather, they might have gone to a jazz club. Dad would have certainly enjoyed last night... You don't stop remembering, or wishing you could ask him something, but that's just part of the memories and lessons that you take forward with you (and hopefully have the opportunity to pass on to others). May you be comforted amongst all mourners, and may your memories of your father be for a blessing. Brenda F. Bell webwarren@e....... Steph and I once again are able to make a happy announcement. Diane Echelbarger's website, "The Pewter Gryphon's Lair" is now back on the open web, along with a page of costumed dolls and the NATPE 7 report. It is thanks to Cheryl Hoffman that we have the report, for it was only sketchily on the Wayback Machine. (Oh, yes. And, for those Lois McMaster Bujold fans among us, there's an early version of Ma Kosti's Cookbook). You can find the site here: http://www.foreverknight.org/PewterGryphon/ And, since the link to the NATPE 7 report is obscure, to say the least (you click on the word "Forever Knight"), for speed's sake I'll give you that address as well: http://www.foreverknight.org/PewterGryphon/NATPE7/index.html Go and take a look: this is our history!
