Hey folks, gentle reminder from someone on digest. Please mind the
quoting (I know iPhone makes it hard to edit to 4 lines, but...) ;)
Secondly, about Stratford, I got to see the Hamlet with Ger and Scott
Wentworth in 2008 (and it was a beautiful thing). My friend Jen and I
had planned a trip to Niagara Falls cos she wanted to see them, and this
involved a road trip from Detroit (where we had front-row tickets to see
Weird Al). And she, being a thespian in Topeka, KS, tried to interest
me in going to Stratford.
I honestly wasn't that interested, cos I'd seen the RSC at
Stratford-upon-Avon in the UK (and with respect to the Canadian
Stratford, I didn't at the time see it as that appealing), but then I
saw the cast lists for Hamlet and startled her with a 'oh HECKIE YEAH,
WE'RE GOING!' She didn't understand, cos she wasn't an FK fan, much
less Scott's other stuff (Kung Fu: TLC is where I discovered him). But
she was happy that I was suddenly enthusiastic. I think the word
'giddy' applies here, I'd been wanting to meet Ger for /years/, and
Scott being there too was just icing on the cake.
So, side trip!
The play was epic, and we totally stalked the stage door and managed to
catch both Ger and Scott on their way out and got photos with them. They
were both terribly gracious (unsurprisingly) and Ger remembered us and
seemed pleased that I remembered the show.
Ahhh, those happy days. :D

As Jean the elder stateskitty and listfounder says, please watch the
quotes. The idea is to keep the digest from being too long and cluttered.
I think it's mostly that a lot responses automatically repeat the post
being answered. This is particularly true of answers from phones. Please
check before sending and if your mailer is trying to attach the post you're
answering, delete it or set the mailer not to do so.
