Since it's been a while, can you give me a general idea of what a war premise is exactly? Does it provide the reason we all go to Toronto or something like that? As an aside, for war prep I finally broke down and got a laptop so I can type from any room in the house and at the coffee shop. :) Rae On Sep 12, 2010, at 12:19 PM, L McDavid <mclisa1014@g.......> wrote: > Guys, we only have one entry so far. Here's the example I gave in my first request: The characters start disappearing and returning with delusions about who they are. For example, LaCroix might be under the impression that he is a Salvation Army officer. <g> Of course everybody heads for Toronto to deal with this. Then we start disappearing and coming back with the same weird ideas, such as my thinking I'm a vampire hunter and must stake LC. The author of the premise Don and I decide on becomes War Mistress or War Master and directs the course of the war, saves the permission slips necessary for members to play, and has the final word when facts about the war need deciding. For example, if Nick shows up in two places at once, if the two writers can't agree as to which one should be written off as a dream or hallucination, the WM makes the decision. Traditionally the WM is anonymous via an account with one of the free services. If this time's WM wants to be known, that's fine. Please note that anything involving discipline or removal of a player must be done with Don and my agreement. Also that Don and I reserve the right to stop the war if it gets unpleasant or shows signs of flames. If you have a premise but don't feel up to being WM, or don't have time, you may appoint a deputy or two, subject to Don and my concurrence. This is because the war premise is secret until the war actually starts. Also, if your idea is the one Don and I pick, then that makes you WM. Unless you're sure you don't mind having your identity known, sending to Forkni-l instead of just to Don and me means everybody knows who the WM really is.
