Avenging Angel

(Note: possible spoiler)

One of my favorite things from this episode is the scene of Nick in the
Caddy towards the end of the show. Nick is hurrying to the (new) crime
scene, and there are a couple of profile shots of him in the car while
LaCroix is shown speaking from the radio station. Nick pulls up to a stop
light. Then there is a very close head shot of Nick in the driver's seat
from the front, then it backs away a bit and you see him through the car
windshield, then the back out a little further and you can see part of the
hood and him through the window, next the whole front of the car, and
finally a shot from much further back, with the car sitting at the street
intersection at the stoplight. Finally ending with the car just sitting
there and you can here the police radio calling "81 Kilo! 81 Kilo!"

Along with this is Fred Mollin's fantastic music. It's not the usual stuff
with his signature percussion; it's soft and builds and is insistent. It
amplifies Nick's feelings and all the emotions.

When you know what else is going on (or has just gone on) it's chilling;
chilling in the way Hitchcock was.

Fantastic editing, both video and sound.
