Evil Fiction Thoughts ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 14 Feb 2010 22:04:58 -0600 From: Nancy Kaminski <nancykam@c.......> Subject: Evil Fiction Thoughts So I and a friend of mine, who is a professional writer, were discussing the sad passing of Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie, one of the crab boats featured on the show, "Deadliest Catch." We both agreed that he had lived life to the fullest, was our very favorite captain, and that he would have been the most entertaining SOB to be married to, at least for a few months. "There were probably the sort of fights that involved much screaming and throwing of pottery," she said. I answered, "And pickup trucks screeching away from the house pursued by the spouse throwing things. Totally worthy of a daytime drama." She answered, "Add vampires and werewolves and you've got a bestseller." Which gave me the brilliant idea of...a vampire crab boat crew. The more you think of it, the more perfect it is! They work through the Arctic winter night, which is almost 24 hours long. They can withstand the cold and the strenuous work. They can't drown, or freeze to death. Yup, now we know what Nick could have done after he had to leave Toronto! I can just see him in the wheelhouse, plotting where to drop his pots... (RIP Capt. Phil...I'm gonna miss you.) ============================== Nancy Kaminski nancykam@c....... ============================== ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 14 Feb 2010 to 15 Feb 2010 (#2010-34) **************************************************************
