In looking at the writing on the lists, it's certainly set up
to immitate the posters that are at the actual meeting site.
The script looks to be Arabic (possibly Farsi as someone
said); it's not the traditional Devanagari script usually used
for Sanscrit. (Devanagari letters have a straight line across
the top for almost all of the letters so they are usually easy
to distinguish.) The writing also appears to be centered so
that it's impossible to tell it's to be read left to right or
right to left. Arabic would be read right to left.

But why would anyone translate 12 steps into Sanscrit?
Although, for all that, why would they translate them
into Arabic? Still, if they couldn't use the actual 12 steps,
perhaps someone on the set in the art department who
knew one of the Indian or Arabic languages just wrote
it out to look good. For all we know, unless someone
has translated it, it could be the Ten Commandments,
although for those in an unholy vampire state, this
would seem unlikely. :-)

Arabic-speaking Alcoholics. The Book has been translated into Arabic and
there are meetings held throughout the Middle East.

Why Sanskrit? It's still an official language in India. :-)

Oh, yes, I understand. I didn't mean to denegrate anyone
speaking Arabic, but rather in this situation of an American-
Canadian TV show, why would someone translate the steps
into Arabic. It seems that that would be a lot of work to go
threw for something that few people would notice.

Maybe someone had a bunch of 12 step programs
available in several different languages and this one just
looked good.

And yes, Sanscrit is an official language of India, and there
is a movement to bring it back to be a "living" tongue much
like was done with Hebrew. It has a very small population
base though. Plus, it has been written with just about
every script available in India, so that the writing in the
background of the scene could, indeed, be Sanscrit.

Hi! (Yes, I'm still alive, if anyone remembers me, just generally busy.)
I was dinking around with my new copy of Sims3 it occurred to me to wonder
if anyone had created FK skins, I know there were skins for Sims2 floating
around. Honestly, I'd do it myself, but I'm no designer.

 How quickly melt away,
With all the love we shared once,
