A few days ago NAT asked:

Which I second!
I'm currently looking around for a place for my own website (which is one of
those that will be affected). Fortunately, I have always had the whole
thing saved and backed up, which gives me a bit of leeway in terms of time.
I'm willing to make a stab at downloading and saving other sites, page by
page--tedious and time-consuming though that undoubtedly is. I can't host
them; but at least I can save the files and back them up on a flashdrive so
that someone somewhere sometime can be handed a package to put up on their
server. However, I don't want to do this for a site whose owner is already
making arrangements.
Of the other FK Geocities sites, who has moved already? Is planning to
move?
And how many of them are out there?

I'm more than willing to add any "NICK & NAT stories to my site, giving each
author their own page. I prefer to stick to the N&N as that's what my site
is. I have plenty of room on my site to host a good bit. Since I need this
anyway, I'm more than willing to pay for more space if needed, but I doubt I
would run out of room to post the fan fiction.

1) I am amused at Nick razing Tracy for her dog's name (Sparky). Asks her if
she had a cat named Fluffy.
I wonder what Nick would think of my family's long-time cat companion T.C.
(The Cat).
2) The actor playing Screed does such a wonderful job. The character is so
relaxed and "flows" so well. It takes serious talent to be filmed in a scene
where you are draining blood from hanged rats and a viewer doesn't even
question the "reality" of what they are seeing.
3) I think Nick the Brick might yet have some hope. I thought he very
gracefully side-stepped Jody's offer to come in for coffee. He desperately
needed to get home with the sun coming up, but he didn't clumsily turn her
down...he actually managed not to trample on her feelings. Now if he could
only be as delicate with Natalie more...
4) "I've got friends I haven't seen in hundreds...in years and sometimes you
can just pickup where you left off"
What was that line from that old country in western song "no more of this
marriage nonsense for me....every few years I'm just gonna find a woman I hate
and buy her a house!" So...every few hundred years, Nick and Janette drift
back together again...and then drift apart.
5) I think you can make the argument that Nick's actions around Perry are
inexcusable. He'd already seen the havoc caused by a vampiric dog in the
past....did he really think that Perry was going to "get better"? Soon or
later, he would have to deal with the situation ...better to do that before
Jody or someone else got killed.
6) Of all the FK vampires, Jody probably likes flying the most.

Well, I wonder what his pets were called way back when ... And those
names really aren't imaginative so I'll grant Nick that one.

Often we become less sensitive with people whom we (think to) know
well. Nick has just met Jodie and I think he feels a special
"kinship" with her - they are both "handicapped" in a way and
"trapped in darkness".

Yes, but he recognizes the special relationship Jodie has to Perry.
She literally depended on him as her guide. And I believe that Nick
was quite heartbroken when he had to destroy Raleigh. Maybe that's
why he acts so hesitantly.

That script was actually written in the first season. Ger mentioned it at one
of his personal appearances after the second, as something they'd bought and
would have to use eventually. He didn't seem too fond of it. :). Like several
of the other early episodes in the third season, Tracy's lines were written
for Schanke. This is one place where it really shows.

Greg Kramer. He's a major name in Toronto theater, originally from London
(England, not the one in Ontario). He's also a writer. Somewhere I've heard,
probably from Libratsie who runs his own line fan site, that when the auditions
were being held for the part of Screed, one of the other actors saw Greg in
the waiting room and said "Kramer's here. We can all go home." Shows how much
his peers respect his talent.

When Nigel mentioned a vampire dog as being about to appear in the third. I
told him afterwards, "you just restored Ger's crediblity. We didn't believe
him when he said there was a vampire dog in a script they hadn't used yet." :)

Actually, he's more or less in Montreal theater now although he's just wrapping
up a role in ... I think it is The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival. I'll
try to look up the actual update he recently gave me and post it here tonight
(if I don't forget again).
He's about to direct "Inherit the Wind" in Montreal.

That's what he told me a while back. He also got one role or another by
throwing himself against the wall during auditions. I "borrowed" that tactic
and can't remember whether or not I got the role, but do clearly remember the
bruise!<g>
Although I thought 'Blind Faith' is on the silly side, I do enjoy the episode.
By the way, Bonnie P. does his fan site (no, alas I don't know the URL as
the bookmark has disappeared off my computer - drat). I run several yahoogroup
lists related to him but they've been quiet as of late.
