I wonder if he has ever thought something like that regarding Andre=2C Fleur's young son. Or perhaps he was content knowing that after he has showed Andre the real nature of vampire Nicholas there could not be anymore any uncle/ son relationship. So in the end it was perhaps of importance that Andre keeps his mortal form and thus maintain his rejection against Nicholas.
