I was bored last night (and procrastinating other things), so I
decided to watch
American Psycho 2 via Comcast On Demand. Liked the first
movie--Christian Bale
always plays interesting roles--so I thought I'd give the sequel a go, even
though I knew it'd be markedly different from the first. The fact
that William Shatner had a role in it perked my interest as well.

Mildly interesting--until the protagonist feels she needs some "professional
help" and goes to a psychiatrist, and looky there! It's Ger! Mmmmm, yummy.
Now I really had to see what happened. And the ending didn't
disappoint as far as I was concerned.

Okay, movie dates back to 2000, so that's eight years back, but still...the
man's a panda, I swear--I have this urge to reach through the screen and hug
him. Must commence FK marathon with DVDs and figure out how he pulled off
blood-thirsty vampire role again... ;-)

And FK nostalgia strikes again in the new year --

I love AP2. I'm not a fan of slasher movies but found this
almost-campy version hysterical! I even bought both the movie and the
soundtrack.

It bears no resemblance to the Bale movie. The main character is
supposed to be a survivor of the first American Psycho but that's it.
Ger has some great expressions in this one. I love the restaurant
scene and the finale, in particular.
