I just thought I'd wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Or at least everyone
to whom it is relevant--never forgetting that that includes Natalie,
Schanke, Tracy, and the Captains. And no doubt Nick, too, since I'm sure
Nat would insist he participate in such a human activity.

Well said, Greer! Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian members
and a Happy Columbus Day to those of us in the States.

And, here's a thought:

Typical thanksgiving foods include

	turkey
	mashed potatoes
	cornbread
	tomato salad

These are all things that Nick has never tasted 'cause they are New World
products, and he, of course, was 'brought over' before they were ever
available to Europeans.

Pumpkin Pie, too, but I'm not sure about that.

First things first, Happy Thanksgiving and Columbus Day to all those
on the list.

So I'm sitting at home enjoying a nice holiday and I got to thinking
about the ubiquitous computer folder (or real world folder) that
tends to hold all those unfinished fics or ideas or prompts. I know
I've got a bunch of them spanning different fandoms and the Forever
Knight section is by far the largest.

There are tons of different reasons why some fics get finished and
others don't. The muse abandons us, real life gets in the way or our
fannish interests drift off. So while going through my unfinished fic
I was reminded that I have 5 unfinished FK fics, ideas for 7 other FK
fics--two of them crossovers, and a bevy of homeless dialogue
exchanges and scenes. Most of them are over a year old! Now that is
definitely not good. So what I want to do is challenge myself to
finish and post at least 1 of those stories before December 31, 2008
rolls around (plenty of time right?) and I want to invite everyone
else to participate.

What kind of fics are residing in the dusty corners of your computer?
Do you think you could be prodded into having them see the light of
day? Is there anything fellow list members can do to help? How about
a story prompt that you feel you can't write but perhaps someone out
there can? Anyone else wanna play? ;-)
