On the back, it said "He was brought across in 1228..." (you know how it goes ;). I was wandering around town and someone stopped me. "Hey, what is that from, on the back of your shirt?" "It's from a TV show, called 'Forever Knight'". "Is it any good?" "Yeah, it's amazing. You can rent it at Netflix." BWAHAHAHAHA another conversion begins.... There are a few of things that I love about "The Fix": 1) Nick's baby blue and white gingham shirt. It is one of the collarless shirts that were de rigueur in Season 2 but the color choice was perfect. In the night scenes it reads as pale grey but in the daylight scenes, like the one on the beach, it is obvious that is light blue. Typically when Nick wears colors they are deep jewel toned "regal" colors like purple or red. But in this episode the shirt is a soft pastel (baby blue because he is reborn?) and the gingham is a much more folksy. 2) Ger's portrayal of "Happy Nick". Ger reminds me so much of William Shatner in this episode. My guess is that was deliberate because it was a vibe I never really got from any of the other FK episodes. But if you fast forward to his performance in Season 2 of "Slings and Arrows" the similarities are there big time. 3) All of Nick's eating scenes... you really do get the feeling of a man who has not eaten "people food" for centuries. Considering that they never get a scene in one take due to flubs and the need for multiple camera angles imagine how many hot dogs and how much spaghetti Ger had to down in the days they shot this episode. I'm guessing that those were a couple of foods that he did not want to see for a quite a while afterwards. Need I say what other sentence it reminded me of? Didn't think so. Certain phrases have been burned into our heads.
