One of my favorites. I like the scientific approach they take to crack Nick's
condition.

From: "Phillips, Tim" <Tim.Phillips@s.......>

> 2) Nick newly mortal is a real hazard to himself. He is so use to being
impervious to harm...I don't believe he'd actually live that long before
a traffic accident or some other "stupid" mistake did him in.<

I agree. Does anyone else think Nick could have used his day in the sun more
efficient?

> 3) "sorry, I couldn't resist the scientific challenge." My, my, the
good doctor does really enjoy that she and the daylight now stand to
replace Janette and the night as the centers of Nick's life.<

On the other hand it must feel like a terrible rebuke to Nat that the first
thing Nick does is to run to Janette to share it with her.

> 4) You'd think Vincetti had never had a cop eat off his plate and drink
his wine while interviewing him....:-) great scene. Especially Schanke's
reaction to the whole thing.<

Is this 'my plate is your plate'-attitude a relict from the 13th century?
There's a nice parallel in 'Fever' when Nick comes into the Raven and sips
from Lacroix's glass without any fuss.

> 6) the Cadillac Trunk Vampire. Not as funny as the Suburu Trunk Monkey,
but much more lethal.<

I'm always wondering if Nick actually kills the man. I know we don't see any
teeth marks, but then we also don't get a clear view of the man's neck. The
condition Nick was in after being shot, does make it likely in my opinion.

On a personal side note, this was the episode in which I learned how to
pronounce 'Nova Scotia' properly. ;) Until then I had always pronounced it the
Latin way or simply called it 'Neu-Schottland'.

Petra.
