Greetings, and delurking briefly..... I am having a lot of computer issues; though I downloaded new drivers, which seems to be helping.... It is very hard for me to type for long periods--I hope it is OK; I just want to say (a very belated) THANK YOU to everyone who sent me birthday wishes--you are all just wonderful! I turned FIFTY (LOL) this year, so it was a biggie for me! Let's see; GWD was in episode 22 of Highlander. One of my favorite Queen songs from Highlander is "Who Wants to Live Forever?" NOT ME <g>. But I do like how the song sort of ties the Immortality theme of two of my favorite shows together (for me)! (Lame attempt to make this post on topic....) Our Lovely Birthday List Keeper Terri said: <<Today is Machine Day and the Birthday of: Billie-Lee Others who share Billie-Lee's birthday: George Bush, President/V.Prez>> Hmmm, we aren't supposed to discuss politics (LOL), so I will just say :::roll of eyes:::: [g] <<Jim Nabors, Actor Irwin Allen, TV/Movie Producer>> Cool and cooler <<Anne Frank, Diarist>> Super Cool! Very sorry not able to send individual Thank Yous; many thanks again to all. This is the first chance I have had to look at ALL the emails I got. I love my FK (and other) family! Forever Yours, Billie-Lee (who hopes this doesn't look wonky--but has been told that is only on her end [g]) mccelt2003@s....... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Jul 2008 17:23:48 -0400 From: Stephanie Kellerman <stephke@i.......> Subject: Re: Today's Birthday: June 12 (Belated Thanks!) Well, something weird is going on. I am on this list with 2 accounts and with this account it shows up with a lot of gobbledy gook. When I got this at my other email, it looked just fine. ??? Garrett" <susanmgarrett@e.......> Subject: Fanworksfinder.com ad FK fic recs I know there's an ambitious fic rec project at: http://www.fanworksfinder.com That site is not accepting new fics or new recs right now because they're in process of changing servers, but you can still use it for look-ups. I was hoping to add and rec a bunch of FK stuff stuff. Fanfiction.net also provides a rec service in that people can comment on a work, but I've never used that particular method to find fics through them. May I recommend "Blue", which I think is by Maria Orive. Also "Jerusalem." There's another I quite like, which I need to find when I get home. I also have quite a bit of fondness for "This End Will Serve," and immajers stories in general. More specifics on that when I get home as well. A reminder - if you've written FK fanfic, have an FK related webpage, or are an FK fan, or visited a convention where FK was present, add to the FK community stuff at fanhistory.com. No one will have the time or ability to add stuff for you, so if you want to be present and accounted for, take the time to put in your two-cents at http://fanhistory.com/wiki/Category:Forever_Knight. There's a help page if you have any questions. We also need more information filled in on the history of the PSU lists - like when was the fict list created, when was fkspoiler created, etc. The VS4 thing is just a setup - it's relatively empty. And it would help if someone could remember what was on "The Thing We Do Not Have." The Plaid script. And there are lots of FK series related terms that should be imortalized on the mail page or the terminology section. Regards, Susan M. Garrett Forever Faithful Ravenette. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2008 06:44:05 -0700 From: Kristen Fife <fenix23fyre@y.......> Subject: Searching for a story Set during the Crusades, where Nick is still mortal and meets Janette for the first time outside the walls of Jerusalem (I think)? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2008 09:16:44 -0500 From: Roxana Elizondo <roxeliz@h.......> Subject: Re: Searching for a story Kristen Fife wrote: > Set during the Crusades, where Nick is still mortal and meets > Janette for the first time outside the walls of Jerusalem (I think)? Pick me! Pick me! I know this one. It's "Mad About You" by Elizabeth Ann Lewis. Great story. --Roxy ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2008 16:28:54 +0200 From: CousinLucilla <cousinlucilla@f.......> Subject: Re: Searching for a story Yes, it's one of my favs, too. Since I lost all my archives when my last PC and laptop died (almost simultaneously) I'm glad to be reminded of that one. I still love that song by Sting.
