1) not the first time I've seen a vampire described as a serial killer,
but a well done analogy here.

2) interesting that Nick turns to Janette for release not because of
spotting an attractive neck or being so sick of cow he could die
(sorta)...but rather because he gets so worked up in a conversation...

3) "I like it when you need me." That is an interesting line for
Janette. She isn't so aloof and self-reliant as she sometimes appears
to be. At least with Nick, she does "indulge" the idea that she needs
to feel valuable and wanted in someone else's eyes to be "happy".

4) I like that Nick is regretful of how he feels he's treated Janette.
Even with her reassurances that she is OK with what happened and
approves of it...it still bothers him. I like that he has that
fundamentally decency in his character. It would be harder to like him
if he was indifferent to how he "used" Janette.

5) Given that Janette is the one who walked out on Nick...it is an
interesting thing to see that she is the one requesting he spend the day
so they can have some time "like it use to be". Given another hundred
years or so...you can think she might want Nick back in her life full
time...even if for only 50 ot 70 years.
