He bitches to the Captain about how the case is not something two Homicide officers should be dealing with, but to Emily, he is calm/cool/professional. 2) Natalie: "You Know, Nick, women do sometimes take a second look at you". Funny line. 3) "The Denied, Chapter 1, Page 4". Grace either has a photographic memory or she is sleeping with that thing under her pillow. 4) Gaaak! What the bleury Hades happened to Janette's hair! Shades of the Bride of Frankenstein...after the lightning strike. 5) I like how they use the structure of the story underway (that Emily Weiss is a vampire fiction writer) to comment on the vampires in the fiction of FK. 6) Did any of the regular characters not end-up reading The Denied? We don't see Janette reading it...but it is clear she's read other books in the series. And I don't think LaCroix would hate them so viciously if he hadn't also read through them himself. 7) the sudden reaction by Schanke and the uniformed officer with him at the safehouse is a little odd - when you think about it. They hear a car horn and immediately rush outside to check on it and find the outside officer down. I could understand the reaction for a gunshot...but a horn??? 8) OK, Janette's hairdo is growing on me. 'Course Janette could be in nothing at all and I'd approve...but that is a whole different story. 9) poor Emily. not the most confident of personalities...and now trapped for some hours with an annoyed Janette. 10) Natalie: "Nick, if you have feelings, you should act on them" Nick: "It is too dangerous". Nick really did have something good with Natalie. She did have hopes/dreams for what they might have together...but she was a deep enough friend that her first thought was for Nick himself. That if he desired a relationship with Emily, he should pursue it. Natalie would - of course - be heart-broken...but she wasn't going to not encourage Nick to pursue happiness wherever he could find it. 11) Is this the first episode where a vampire shows up at Nick's loft skylight? I do not remember it happening before this...although it definitely is a fixture in a lot of fan fiction writing. 12) Schanke as a vampire. Kind of a mutant cross between Count Chocula and Eddie Munster with all the subtle nuances of Paris Hilton at an orgy. Still...he does do the "elder vampire whisper" of LaCroix so well as to make me think that the FK Christmas parties might have been amusing with impressions. It seems that it only takes once for something -- anything -- to become ingrained in fanfic. <g> :) Boomer "Phillips, Tim" <Tim.Phillips@s.......> wrote: 11) Is this the first episode where a vampire shows up at Nick's loft skylight?
