I've always figured she waited until LaCroix was out of the picture. It's
much saver to go after Nick when there isn't a 2000 year old Roman General
who'd likely take anyone going after his son personally around.

Subject: Ger/FK Mention in TVG

Page 71 of the Southwest Ohio edition of next week's TV Guide has a
mention of TV vampire shows, and our Ger and FK gets a mention. No
photos, but it's nice that a: they remembered and b: they spelled
Geraint Wyn Davies correctly. :)

PS. Thank you very kindly for your warm regards on both my birthday and
about the 'tone' of the list in general. However, I will only take
credit for the overall basic premise of respect that this list
requires... I am quite humbled by and proud of the efforts of McLisa and
Don, as well as past listowners Laurie Salopek and Jamie Randell in
keeping the list within that basic premise. They have done a metric ton
of work in keeping the list since I passed it on, and I couldn't be
happier with how we're still here... nearly FIFTEEN YEARS LATER.

Dude, we should totally have a FORKNI-L party this year. Bill Verity at
Penn State (our postmaster) deserves a major thank you as well. As our
silent partner, he's kept us quietly on the Penn State listservers for
years after I graduated and thus wasn't technically allowed to run a
list. He's been very good to us.

What do you think, folks? He likes M&Ms... ;)

simply speak incomprehensibly? Inquiring minds wish to know... ;-P

Yeah, in the first season when there was great writing she did. Later they
made her a whining one note beyatch. I was glad to hear GWD tell stories
that CD objected to this. Natalie was much more a real and believeable
woman in the first season.

Perhaps she was waiting until he was involved with a human? It wasn't ever
alluded to within the episode, but it's a possibility, I imagine, within the
FK universe. Or this is just as you say, AFKPH (another Forever Knight Plot
Hole).

I'm OK, and as of yesterday, at least, so was list member Cloud W. (Hi, Cloud -
you still hanging in there?), who lives much closer to the burn area than I
do. Today was better: less wind, a downright miraculous offshore breeze that
pushed the desert "Santa Ana" winds back, stalling some of the fires, *and* a
battalion of US Military and California State firefighting aircraft arriving to drop
water and retardant on the flames. It's helping, but we're a lonnnnnng way
 from safe just yet.

500,000 people have been evacuated (15,000 of them are just down the hill from
me in Qualcomm Stadium), 1200+ have lost their homes, dozens of people have
been injured, and worst of all, 5 that we know of have lost their lives. Our air
is dirty orange-brown and ash is falling everywhere. It's not quite LaCroix's
Pompeii (thank God), but it's as close as I care to get, thank you.

Well, Alexandra never struck me as being the sharpest knife in the
drawer. It could have taken her that long to find Nick. <g>

McLisa ususally allows these posts in times of crisis to allow FK
listmembers to check in.

I know we have several list members in the southern.California area. So
if everybody could check in when they have time and let us know they're
alirght.

I'm in Escondido near the Witch Creek fire. We evacuated late Monday night.
Just got back home. No property damage in our immediate area. My horse is in
Valley Center between the Pauma Valley & Poomacho fires. The ranch and
immediate surrounding area remain clear. My work is also in Valley Center.
The rez itself was evacuated, but they're saying we can get back to work
tomorrow morning. To get around anywhere in this end of the County we're
going to be needing respirator masks for a while.
