Miscellaneous

On You Tube there is an interesting video with music by Crossfade, a
tune called "Cold".
It has images from all three shows and the lyrics seem to be
particularly pertinent.

Question: Re: Moonlight

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed how much the female lead, Beth
Turner, in Moonligt
looks so much like Serena Sotherlyn from Law & Order?

Ger likes Boston Legal.
I'm amused.
And his saying we fans are "errily reverential" about FK was amusing too
(since i actually MET Ger at a convention and he seemed to really LIKE us
  fans!)
THANK YOU for the link!

Thanks for the link!

I'm so glad to hear that he likes performing in D.C. Hopefully, that's an
indication that he'll be back here soon!

I have a large list of links including links to all the FK Wars,
Official Club sites for some of the actors, general FK pages by fans,
and fan fiction pages, as well as a few extras like FK cross stitch
and my new screen capture site, the Knight Watchman:

Enjoy! I hope this helps you get back some of your favorites.

Sorry for the cross-posting.

I'm going to be in Toronto next week to see Ger in 'The Elephant Man'. If
anyone is going to be around, maybe we could meet for lunch or dinner or coffee
or whatever. I fly in on Oct 10 and fly home on Oct. 18. My tickets are for
 Tues night, Oct 16.

Sorry, it doesn't seem like we can get our acts together and actually
plan a trip. Too many people can't get away from work or can't afford
the trip.

Although a Cousin, I was drawn to this episode. Maybe because I have a passion
 for celtic harps.

...Believe it or not, Queen of Harps (is that the name?) bores me. I recognize
it as a "quality" episode, it just doesn't do much for me.

I don't think that his saying that some fans are eerily reverential
meens he doesn't like them. I myself find it eerie sometimes how one
(myself included) can become "obsessed" of something so "unimportant"
like a TV show, especially such a long time since it's been off the
air. Let's face it: for most actors it was merely a job and they
moved on.

After two episodes, I think it's safe to say I enjoy the show. To me, its
feel is completely different than FK. Both its mood and tone are lighter. And
where Nick helped people as a way of seeking redemption/forgiveness for being a
vampire, Mick does what he does to have a purpose in "eternal life." He seems
perfect cool with being a vampire.

Another thing I like, and I didn't think I would, is that Mick is not very
old. Only about 80 years, I think. He isn't really old and jaded yet. He hasn't
quite seen it all. He's "young" and still makes mistakes.

As for the female lead, Beth (?), I like her character. I think she's a good
foil for the Mick character. That said, I don't really see the romantic
chemisty. I think the two have a good sibling type chemistry. She's a good
partner/sidekick. Besides, it kind of squicks me that Mick knew her as a little
girl and watched her grow up.

The only thing that's really not working for me is the Jason Dohring character,
Josef. Perhaps it's because I loved Dohring as Logan in Veronica Mars, I
don't know. I like that they're written a best friend vampire for the lead.
(Hmmm....Moonlight's Janette perhaps?). And I think the two actors have great
chemistry for that. As with his Logan character, I love Dohring's cockiness and
irreverance. But I'm not buying him as the older, wiser, more ruthless
vampire.
