Tim "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965-1970) Starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman In my opinion there are two types of people, the "I Dream of Jeannie" people and the "Bewitched" types. I guess Schank is the former. :D Roxana ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2007 15:36:32 -0700 From: Kristen Fife <fenix23fyre@y.......> Subject: Re: Moonlight - a remake of Forever Knight?! Here is something interesting which we didn't have with FK in the early nineties: http://moonlightfans.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 I saw there was a trailer on YouTube and one of the posts was that it was obviously a Forever Knight remake. There were also comments about it being more like Angel. Hmmmm, I can guess at the age demographics on those comments ;) --- cindy clark <badwolf15895@s.......> wrote: > It's scheduled for Fridays at 9:00, right after > Ghost Whisperer. > > Most people have minds like concrete: mixed up or > permanently set. > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: Cheryl Pillsbury <fknight420@c.......> > To: FORKNI-L@l....... > Sent: Sunday, July 1, 2007 8:31:22 AM > Subject: Re: Moonlight - a remake of Forever > Knight?! > > > Thank you for sharing, when is it on in the eastern > zone? We wont have it here for a long time no doubt. I've seen Bloodties via the net(http://www.eztvefnet.org/) and am a little undecided...i think the story lines are a bit unoriginal...maybe Moonlight will be better. Having seen brief comments that a lot of recasting has gone on after the pilot, perhaps they are finding a mix where it may last longer than our poor FK did...that is to make the fans happy AND TPTB! Not that one will jump ship and leave FK behind! FK has its own wonderful kind of mojo! Viva le Chaviler!! Kylie. Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me, I have found in my file a story called " Different Lives" written by Mary Wilkerson. I have only part one, there is at least a part two, but it isn't downloaded. and it says on the bottom of the story ..return to my home page. Could anyone have the rest of this story, or know the Home page referred to...an FK fiction for sure Thank you.....Dot ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2007 23:15:10 -0700 From: KC Monroe <kaysea1228@y.......> Subject: Re: Old story? --- Dot <jennii35@i.......> wrote: > Could anyone have the rest of this story, or know > the Home page referred to...an FK fiction for sure I googled the title and author and found this: http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/vampire/98/different.html KC ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2007 16:37:03 +0200 From: cousinlucilla <cousinlucilla@f.......> Subject: Re: Moonlight - a remake of Forever Knight?! I'm not a list mod or anything and it's up to McLisa or Don to decide, but I feel very uncomfortable if file sharing is discussed on this list and if links are provided to certain sites. I know for the people outside the US and CA (this includes me as well) it is difficult to see shows like that in a timely order. But no matter if a lot of us do it, downloading TV shows is illegal and shouldn't be discussed here. Especially since this list is run via a public university's server. It might get this list into serious trouble. Just my 2 cents. Restocking my gory food supply is exactly what I would do while I have a young girl sleeping upstairs. In addition, I noticed that Nick changed for this task into a white shirt (which looks very nice on him by the way). And later, when he's asleep on the couch he wears his clothing from before again. > 11) Wow...LaCroix is certainly in a mood when Janette gives Daniel his gift. A little over-the-top for the character. Looks like an angry cat hissing at a dog it doesn't like.< I've been wondering what exactly Lacroix is eating in the flashback. Blood from a bowl? I find it unusual that he makes such efforts to keep Daniel company during dinner. You are definitely right, there. And McLisa has asked me to step in should things like this pop up and she doesn't immediately say something. So I am - please, no file sharing! Maybe we'll be lucky as many shows are now available to watch LEGALLY on-line after they air and perhaps Moonlighting will be one of them. I refuse to say it is a remake of Forever Knight. Why? Because when Angel first was announced, there were a lot of people claiming it was a "FK" ripoff. No, it was nothing like FK. Vampire detectives are not new. Very slightly before FK, there was PN Elrod's first vampire detective book and there was another writer with a similiar concept whose book came out at the same time (I think the author was Lee Killough though I may be remembering wrong). Neither knew the other's book was coming out<g> I'll probably love the new series if it is good just as I love Angel once I watched it (especially the fifth season). I'm really looking forward to it along with the return of Bloodties! --Libby cousinlucilla <cousinlucilla@f.......> wrote: downloading TV shows is illegal and shouldn't be discussed here. But of course, the script writers were oblivious to that at this moment in time. Libby and Doris have already mentioned this, so I'm chiming in as listowner to agree that file-sharing and downloads aren't something for Forkni-l. This is because of copyright problems. BTW, the new show is called Moonlight, I think, rather than Moonlighting, which was the 80's hit with Bruce Willis. For those of us in the U.S., I hope we have a happy Independence Day. For the rest of us, have a happy Wednesday. McLisa listowner, Forkni-l, mclisa@m....... -----Original Message----- > > >You are definitely right, there. Or it very well could be that LaCroix saw Divia as a "vampire gone bad" which some do, and didn't think it'd automatically happen again. --Libby P J <blue_twingo772@y.......> wrote: One would think that after his experience with Divia, Lacroix would know better than to propose bringing a child across. I remember that they brought in a character for one episode for that reason. It's probably also why we get the scene in the armchair where Schanke is watching I Dream of Jeannie. BTW, the scene where Nat digs the bullet out of Nick contains some adlibbing. The vampires' reflections were supposed to be removed in post production, but sometimes this wasn't done. Catherine Disher and Ger improvised the lines about Nick's being able to see himself in the mirror sometimes as evidence of progress. They wanted to explain the inconsistency. And that her evil was magnified by her vampire master, meaning that she would have turned out "bad" even if she had been older when brought across. Daniel seems like a normal kid and maybe LC really found the prospect of creating such a young vampire exciting. I haven't rewatched the ep so I'm relying on memory here - is it clear that it was LC who brought Daniel across or could it have been Janette as well?
