Greetings all, I've been super impressed by how the investigative and eagle-eyed members on the list came to the conclusion of a June birthdate for Nat. To continue on this rather "research"-oriented thread - I remember reading somewhere a while back, someone on the list wrote a rather scholarly essay on why Nick may have been born "on the wrong side of the blanket". Silly me failed to book mark the page. Now I can't figure out how to revisit that essay. Can anyone tell me who it was? Point me in the general direction? Star Trek, The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer rounded out the top 3 but Forever Knight warranted a mention and came in at number 24. It was a much appreciated mainstream shoutout for our beloved show. Three years later TV Guide has compiled another list and they've also chosen to expand it to the top 30 Cult Shows. This time, however, Forever Knight and My So-Called Life were deemed as not having "withstood the test of time" and were knocked off the newly expanded list. I'm deeply saddened by Forever Knight's exclusion this time around. The initial list was such a pleasant surprise and now it feels like FK has been unceremoniously kicked to the curve in favor of hipper, more current cult shows. These types of list are always in a state a flux and it's understandable that shows have to be removed to make way for new ones but instead they expanded the list to include 7 new shows rather than eliminate 7 shows from the old list. I guess I'm a little annoyed because I find the reason given for removing Forever Knight somewhat lacking. For those of you interested the new list can be found here: http://www.tvguide.com/news/top-cult-shows/070629-01 There is also a blog where a discussion on the list is going on if anyone wants to put in their two cents here: http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Cult-Shows-Discussion/Trekkers-Browncoats-Losties/800017733&start=90 Roxana ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 29 Jun 2007 to 30 Jun 2007 (#2007-89) **************************************************************
