I love the end of this episode. Nick is having so much fun at Schanke's expense. This is one of my fav eps because of the interaction between the three. I always wondered what Nat was going to say at the end. He shows up wearing this GQ white suit when we know perfectly well that he owns casual duds. It's almost like he's dressing up for the occassion.< I wondered about that as well, especially since he is already dressed when he’s talking to Nat on the phone. Why did he change his wardrobe again for the occasion? Maybe he did indeed expect a several courses dinner as you mentioned. Interestingly enough, as a Canadian this didn't bother me at all. A lot of people in Toronto have cabins "up north" (almost anywhere in Ontario is north of Toronto), and it can be darn hard to find out where. There may only be an annual property tax bill (if the cabin is unserviced by electricity or phone). And the address on that property tax bill could be darn hard to translate into an actual location--a legal property description can be quite different from a street address. A lot of Canadians, I think, cherish fantasies about their cabins being safe retreats from city life; many folks who would never think of leaving the door to their house in the city unlocked, never lock the door to their cabin while they are staying there in the summer. A bigger problem is that Ontarians don't have "cabins", they have "cottages". :) Your humble & obedient servant, Angela Gottfred ------------------------------ End of FORKNI-L Digest - 21 Jun 2007 to 22 Jun 2007 (#2007-81) **************************************************************
