Subject: checking in
Hi all. My mother and I were travelling back to the east coast (differing
destinations) from Kansas yesterday. We'd had severe weather before but it just
seemed to be a violent lightning storm---subsequently I found out a weak tornado
was reported further out in Douglas County KS--but then yesterday my flight from
Kansas City to DC was delayed five hours and I got home at 3 am after a
scary-bumpy flight, and my mother's to further north was delayed three hours. But
truly, all's well that ends well, and I am very glad to be home.
As always, it's wonderful to know that you guys are thinking of us.
