There apparently was a humdinger of a severe storm in my area which lasted about an hour. However, a friend and I had traveled 30 miles to a cross stitch store for a "stitching night" and weren't home. I did arrive back home to pitch darkness - I'm refering to a dark so dark I'm not sure LaCroix could have navigated in my place! Lightning had struck a transmission station a mile or so from me. Someone I talked to today said it was quite a site when the bolt struck the station, sparks flying like fireworks, and then fire. My area has power now but only because of temporary portable transmitters of some sort. --Libs Laurie of the Isles <laudon1228@y.......> wrote: I just read about bad storms in Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky.
