Your keen observations completely invalidate both of my speculations, but they also give me an excellent excuse to re-watch all of first season, as I obviously am slipping on the details. :-) ><<As far as I've been able to tell, there is never a tv shown in the >second season, but she may have one in her 'office' (the space we >see in Undue Process where her computer is).>> I seem to recall that this space (with her desktop PC) is on the wall of her living room immediately adjacent to the door to her bedroom; I'll have to check that out. Of course, I think we don't see the computer or desk in other second-season episodes, and then in third season's "Fallen Idol," she has a laptop, which seems to be somewhat new to her at that time. ><<With Natalie's analytical mind, she'd naturally be curious as to >whether or not it [the "My Boyfriend is a Vampire" segment of _The >Jerry Show_] was for real, especially if it might provide some >insight into her relationship (or the possibility of a closer one) with Nick.>> Yes, both personal and professional/scientific inquiry might have drawn her to that specific episode after hearing of it by chance -- or perhaps she's actively on the lookout for vampire-related programming, looking after both safety concerns (cf. Enforcers) and research possibilities. Perhaps she found a suggestion of this in Nick's "Mind you, she hits more than she misses" line about Emily Weiss's writing ("Stranger than Fiction"). With only Nick as patient, test subject and control group, all in one, Natalie must often be extremely frustrated as she works out his treatment. That makes excellent sense, and is much more encouraging than viewing "The Jerry Show" as part of Natalie's distressing third-season slide into dependency and despair (which I admit was my earlier inclination). Hope that helps.>> Thank you very much for the URL. (I have only just this week gotten DSL and joined the, um, late twentieth century. <g> So I'm only just beginning to venture out into all the many sites that I assumed were beyond my bandwidth in my dial-up days, for one reason or another. I have now bookmarked your site for myself, and I will add it to the "Bright Knight" site list of "Essential Links," if that's all right with you.) To the list in general, are there any other graphics-focused FK sites I may have missed on my plodding dial-up, that I should now enjoy on speedy DSL? Back to Natalie's televisions, here are a few of the relevant images available on the "KnightWatchman" site: * Natalie watching a big TV in her lab in "Spin Doctor" http://www.knightwatchman.net/fk/fkseason1/spindoc/spindoc_093.jpg * Natalie's home TV between Sidney and the radiator in "Only the Lonely" http://www.knightwatchman.net/fk/fkseason1/onlythelonely/otl_116.jpg * Natalie watching a little TV in her lab in "My Boyfriend is a Vampire" http://www.knightwatchman.net/fk/fkseason3/myboyfriend/boyfriend_007.jpg I notice that Natalie's home TV in "Only the Lonely" does not seem to be especially well-positioned for watching, either from the dining table or from the couch. Perhaps she listens to it, radio-like, rather than watching it? Or perhaps it's on wheels, or she's just not home often enough to enjoy it ... Amy R., Knightie akr@l....... Yes, please feel free to add a link to your site. I started KnightWatchman as a vidcap resource site, and I hope more people will find it and find it useful. I'm still working on Season 3, but hope to have it done soon. > To the list in general, are there any other graphics-focused > FK sites I may have missed on my plodding dial-up, that I should > now enjoy on speedy DSL? Kristin's "Knight Vision" site has a lot of goodies, but has always been heavily graphics-intensive: http://www.avenuepotter.com/~kristin/Forever_Knight/index2.htm Just a P.S. about my site: At least three people on dial-up have told me that the pages load surprisingly fast, so please at least consider giving it a try, even if you're on dial-up. Can't hurt. <G> > I notice that Natalie's home TV in "Only the Lonely" does not > seem to be especially well-positioned for watching, I noticed that, too. And it doesn't appear to be an especially large TV -- maybe a 25-inch, at best? Reasonable enough for casual viewing, but not as good for a "movie night" as Nick's big-screen. :-D Nat ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Nancy A.
