I watched the episode #05 of Dresden Files Bianca does come close a bit to Janette but quite as memorable as she was, if Bianca is a re occurring character in this series it could be interesting. I think the Dresden Files is more about the main male character's encounters with the paranormal (just my thoughts). I too hope we'll see more of Bianca. Bianca is very similar to Janette, especially when she told Dresden, "I didn't ask for this, but I accept it." > On 27/02/2007, at 5:40 AM, Kristen Fife wrote: >> I was watching the "Dresden Files" last night, and on it he was helping a beautiful vampire named Bianca that reminded me quite a bit of Janette, ***I hope we see more of Bianca, but I don't think we will. I think this was an episode, similar to many in FK. FK introduced characters that we never saw again. I hope I'm wrong!!! Hmmm, maybe Bianca needs her own show? I wonder if there will be Fan Fiction with crossovers of FK and Dresden Files--now that's an interesting potential plot, including Bianca, Janette, Nick, Nat, and LaCroix??? WE DO NEED MORE FK FAN FICTION, even if it is crossovers!!! The difference between Janette and Bianca I would say is Janette is subtle sensual and perhaps less overt like steel in a silk glove and Bianca is more overt and more hard edged not as subtle as Janette and I would think Janette is more humorous I think but it's hard to tell with only one episode showing Bianca it will be interesting to watch and comment on if Bianca does appear in a few future episodes of The Dresden Files. > ***I hope we see her in a reoccurring role!!! Yes, it is difficult with one episode, but I do think Bianca showed a humorous side equal to Jeanette's. Some of her comments during tense scenes had me smiling. FK's Janette and Dresden File's Bianca are both assertive women who take charge of any situation they're confronted with. I'm not saying the two characters are identical, but Bianca is the first female vampire since FK that has come close to Janette's character. Also, it's nice to see a vampire who is not a teny-bopper vampire or vampire-hunter. That last comment wasn't meant to be negative for Buffy, but it's nice to see a bit older characters in the Dresden Files. Hey, there's a market for every age group! I think it's also fair to say that Bianca probably isn't over 1000 years old :) She referenced being alive in the thirties, perhaps as a mortal. I looked on Wikipedia and Jim Butcher (author that created the books that the series is based on, really nice guy, I've met him several times) has created an interesting Vampire caste system, very unlike FK (with the exception of the carouches). I find Bianca's lack of emotions actually very appropriate. Not that Janette's fire isn't, they are just different circumstances and universes. --- Alexander Braun <ajbraun@i.......> wrote: > The difference between Janette and Bianca I would > say ...
