real life connections folks have to FK ... What else would be a good
qualifier?

I've traveled to Toronto and attended LCA.
I've participaited in various projects to get FK on DVD and to keep it on
the air.
and I'm an FK war veteran!

Hey -
Just letting you know... it will be on Feb 25th at 9pm (local time)
So I'm planning on checking torrents on monday to see if it is up.
If I get it I'll let you know. I read about it on the bbc page and
it looks great. I love DT.

First... I apologise for that last post going to the list... I was a
bit too quick on my trigger finger.

Anyhoo... With these new vampire type shows coming out, maybe there
might be a chance for new FK novels or something...
If they catch on, at least maybe scifi (or another channel if the
contract is up) will air repeats and bring in more fans, etc.
Plus if people like these new shows, they might go looking on the
internet and find out about FK. I know I have found several shows
that way.

I'll probably check them out if I remember.

Have you heard of the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon? It
was a Comp Sci experiment in the late nineties with
the hypothesis of Six Degrees of Separation that
everyone in Hollywood is connected to Kevin Bacon
within six degrees. The Oracle is the actual
website/tool where you can see how close anyone in the
movie/tv biz is to Kevin Bacon. Using this same
principle, I calculated my own "Six Degrees" from
someone in the FK world. In my case it is two (My
friend Alisoun worked on the Matrix, and thus to
Carrie-Ann Moss).

Wikipedia to the rescue:

Blood Ties is a Canadian television series based on
the Blood Books by Tanya Huff. It is set to premiere
on March 11, 2007, on Lifetime Television, and in the
Fall of 2007 on Canadian television.

So, March 11 for Blood Ties. Twilight has no date set
except the 2007/2008 season, which indicates fall to
me.

I'd LOVE to see more vampire shows open up and give FK
more exposure!

Tanya Huff had a shout out to Forever Knight in the Blood Ties series. There
was a scene in a jail, and one inmate was named Natalie and another was named
Lambert. I forget which book, though. Great series.
