I think she has enough backbone not to be motivated by what her colleagues
might think or not.
Nick is a very private person and I think as his junior partner, she respects
that. Schanke was quite the opposite. He believed himself to be the experienced
partner in this relationship. And I don't think he ever asked himself whether
it was okay to intrude in Nick's loft. He would have dropped in anyway. He also
had a very close friendship with his former partner (The Code), so he probably
takes it for granted to be invited into his partner's home.

Wow, Steph, that is awesome. I always wondered if de Brabant was a common
name found during that time period by the writers or if it was just made up
(I know, you guys probably already had this discussion about it already),
but it's really fantastic to see that there really were people with that

I think I vaguely remember Tracy being in Nick's loft and asking how
he could afford it? Or possibly I've just read way too much
fanfiction and lost track of what actually happened ;-)
As for fics, I've got a bunch of Tracy & Nick (not necessarily
romantic) on the Night Shift page
