Well, the historical verification was abysmal. But I seem to recall
that some of that was done after the scripts were written, by people
screwing around with stuff for no really convincing reason. I was in
charge of the historical verification for the V4S, and we did more
work on that than I figure the whole fact-checking non-existent
people did on the three seasons of FK. I loved the show, but
historically it was bizarre.

Hello everyone, I passed this by McLisa and Don first and got permission.

Some of you may remember a few months ago my family and friends had a hard
time medically- one friend needed a liver transplant (which she got and is
doing well all things considering), and my aunt went into the hospital at
the same time.

Well, my aunt ended up in a nursing home, and this past Thursday (11/9) she
passed away after entering a coma that same morning, at the age of 83.

Most people are lucky enough to have one cool relative (sometimes even by
blood)... and she was that relative to me.

This is the woman who didn't live more than 5 doors away from my parents and
brother. She taught me cross-stitch and crochet. She feed me books like
candy. After school, I went to her place to watch Dr. Who, Blake's 7, and
Red Dwarf (after they stopped showing Blake's 7). On Wednesdays I'd go back
to watch Star Trek The Next Generation with her and my brother.

And the books that she fed to me were a lot of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror
novels.

I'll miss her, but she's no longer in pain. That's very important.
