Even if you fast-forward your tape through the commercials, it's still an interruption. And a lot of the eps really shine without the interruptions. I also am enjoying many very short scenes which were cut from the broadcasts that I got here in Canada, from Showcase. It's amazing how much just a few seconds can contribute. While watching the DVDs there's always a very special ambience - and the absence of commercials is a great improvement. > I also am enjoying many very short scenes which were cut from the > broadcasts > that I got here in Canada, from Showcase. I guessed that the episodes on DVD are longer and I did not recognize some scenes - but I wasn't sure till now. I've had to decide between seeing an actors last night in a role that I love him in, then the new guy's (who I also know)first night in that role and buying the FK dvds. I know the FK dvds will be available for a while at least, so I had to go with the show. Maybe when things calm down in Nov I can pick them up. -Amanda "This dark gift brings enlightened sight, as if the sun's bright rays illuminate sweet mortal forms to take my breath away." http://www.darksideoftheglass.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Oct 2006 22:07:16 +0200 From: Cousin Lucilla <cousinlucilla@f.......> Subject: Re: Season 3 DVDs Sonja Gerlach wrote: > Interesting - since here in Germany the third season never has been > aired ... Oh, they were aired all right, but only on Premiere, a pay TV network that didn't have too many suscribers back then. I caught part of season three there but didn't tape it then (GNNNN!!!! - only one I got was Last Knight - ;-)) and so had to get rather bad copies of the eps later. Problem is, the original owner of Premiere went broke and although the network still exists no one seems to have airing rights for season 3 in Germany. Thank Godness there are DVDs now.
