Sent: Monday, October 02, 2006 5:28 PM Subject: Mary Lou Manzie At the request of Mary Lou's sisters Val and Pam: It is with great sadness that I am sharing with you that Mary Lou died this AM in her home in Mexico. She was about to begin her second course of chemo therapy today, but this morning she had a massive stroke and died without any further suffering. The last several weeks had become increasingly difficult for her, and while she had continued to struggle to conquer the disease, it was no longer possible for her body to endure. Her sisters Val and Pam are leaving for Mexico on Tuesday. There will be a service on Wednesday in the Lake Chapala community and she will be buried, as she wished, in a cemetery near by her new home. Since her arrival in Mexico she had found joy and delight; now she has found peace. When friends depart, it is always too soon. We will miss her! Subject: Re: Sad News about Mary Lou Manzie I was an email friend of Mary Lou. I enjoyed our conversations and all of her stories. I will miss her greatly. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family. The world will not be the same without her. God Bless you Mary Lou. I think I forgot to express sympathy on list for Christy's family. I'm not making the same mistake about Mary Lou's. May our two list family members rest in peace, and may their families and friends, including us, be comforted.
