Subject: Episode Discussion for Last Act
It was fun to watch this ep again after so long, and
even more fun to read what other people thought of it.
I'm on the fence as to whether or not Erica was a
"real" ghost or not. On first watching I'd assumed
that she was, but never understood why Erica would
want Nick to join her in death. Having her be Nick
essentially talking to himself makes more sense, IMHO
Back when FK was being filmed episodes were largely
self-contained, and rarely bled over from one ep to
the next. I think Nick's bout of depression would have
played better if we'd seen it building a little more
over the course of a few eps. Still, with Nick's
personality I didn't have much problem with him
spiraling in (and out) of depression so quickly. And
he smiles so nice at the end. :-)
I also liked Nat's anger at Nick in this one when he's
frightening her with his suicidal thoughts in the
loft. Nat has a lot of spunk in her, and I we'd seen
more of it in the series.
Thanks to whoever thought up this episode discussion
idea! I haven't watched some of these eps in a long
time, and this is a great way get share them all over
again.
