The flashback also shows a period of time where Nick wasn't hating what he
was, something that never happened very often.

Hey Lisa and group
I met Christy on this list, and was proud to know her personally, both on
and off the PC. She chose to participate in past Wars as co-anchor of the
Nunkies Anonymous contributions, and I was proud to have her by my side.
I will miss her wit, laughter, insight and good humor .... which she kept
until the end.
You as a group had the enjoyment of her writing. I had the enjoyment of
her sunny smile and barbed remarks on the side. I count myself blessed. :)

I also count myself as among the blessed to have "known" Christy. She
put up with my lil' Ratpackery ways and was a kind soul. Her death
was only one of the horrible things that happened that week affecting
me, so I've put off posting while trying to get myself back together.
(The horrible things including the death of Gilbert, my Ratpacker,
rat-killing, "dawg")

She'd understand, and give me a virtual pat on my wee lil' ratsie
noggin <g> Probably even feed me a (virtual) grilled cheese sandwich
to cheer me up. That's the sort of person she was.

She's left so many of us with such wonderful memories! May her
kindness and love be remember by all she touched virtually or in
person.

So in my best Ratpacker form, I'm giving her a virtual 12 rat salute!

Man.... May she have Nunkies anyway she wants him in that writer's
paradise. She was a good person to coordinate with during Wars, and to chat
with in general.

Wow, it's been a while since I posted here.

Anyhoo... I was checking my hotmail account and there was a link to a
news story about "The Business of Blood" Of course I had to click on
it.
Apparently the Red Cross and other such services sell their products
to cover operating expenses. I just skimmed the article, but found
it interesting. Maybe that's where the community gets their stash...
they just buy it.

Here's the link... http://www.slate.com/id/2149359/?GT1=8592

2) "You constipated...or something??" This is one of those moments that I
have to wonder what Stonetree wonders.....
I've always thought that Stonetree wondered or had figured out that there was
something about Nick that was not totally "normal"... whatever normal is.

3) I know Toronoto is supposed to be a very clean city, but do they have
24hour park cleaning services???? How late was that park guy there to
talk with Schanke and Nick about the burned clothes he found? It looked
full dark to me.

Yes, it looked full dark but that could also be predawn I could see cleaning
services starting at 4-5 am to hit heavily used areas before the rush hour.

4)Is the play Nick and Erica are doing significent?I half-suspect the scene
was written for the episode as something that Erica

Since Erica being a playwright is mentioned several times, I think that was
one of her plays (to illustrate that she had not changed in 400 years... she
was writing plays then, and was still writing them. No wonder she was
depressed.
I've only been in the same profession 25 years... I can't imagine doing it
250!!
